I think HSTV can deliver the Delta 6 armor-piercing bullets, which gives him more attack power, but that would require raising its BR to 12.7

This might allow the vehicle to leverage its advantages more effectively. The XM885 might not be suitable for its BR. Anyway, players are used to bringing it to 12.7, so it could be equipped with more powerful armor-piercing rounds for enhancement.

Given the Americans have a kinda OP 12.0 line-up to use it with. Id suggest just adding a seocnd one at 12.7. I dont know if there are any other upgrades it could get to sweeten the deal but that would probably be the most logical option, just add a second at 12.7 with the upgraded rounds whilst leaving the current one at 12.0.

that would only have made sense if it was the rdf/lt in the tech tree, but no, adding a vehicle that is the exact same just a few BR higher with a better round does not make much sense, even in the “early/late” aspect of things, both of these vehicles had very short lifespans.

I want XM885 to penetrate the predicted amount of armor from IRL tests first, right now it’s worse than the deliberately downgraded export ammo designed for overseas customers. 76mm APFSDS designed for the RDF/LT with export turret, deliberately made worse than the 75mm ADMAG ammo; is better at damaging and penetrating than the irl superior ammo.
