Here is my replay, at first I threw all the AIM-120s at a distance of 50-40-38km, then I flew and fired 4 AIM-120s at the Eurofighter who was without energy and in limbo, but he just mocked my missiles and just threw back his stick traps and got away from all my missiles, so he released his own and shot me down.
AIM-120 are completely useless missiles, you won’t hit anyone with them even from 10 km.
After the latest update, the AIM-120s are simply useless.

Yeah, like the dokument they got to nerf the AIM-120s AOA generation back in July. /s

I only watched your first replay and there was close combat everywhere. And we’re talking about long-range combat. I don’t have an F-16, only an F-15C. I can’t maneuver like an F-16, so I have to fire missiles from long distances.

You are firing at targets over 40 km. Of course, they are not going to hit.

You are in a full-down tire, where’s that Eurofighter? And you got killed by an F-15C, the same plane you’re flying.

You get absolutely mega visibility from 6km and not to mention laser pointer’s FOV is so small that you literally have to look straight at the enemy if you want to keep laser lock. This is only viable if you have no AA enemies on the ground.

And this is how much leeway you have before you lose the lock. Missile needs like ~10+ seconds to reach the target from about 5-6km and during that time you’re locked in a pretty much straight flight path towards the target. Something like Strela will eat you alive in this shitbox.

How many times out of 10 do you get crystal clear sky weather?

Don’t ask me, I don’t fly shitboxes in Ground battles.

The issue isn’t the missile the issue is Gaijin’s refusal to model the weapons designed to counter said missiles.

They have stated 2025 will see an expansion of high tier SPAA options including multi system SPAA options. Whether this will resolve the issue we will need to wait and see.

War Thunder is not the kind of game that’s balanced by artificially manipulating technical capabilities (in theory).

Otherwise, it would be no better than WoT/WoWs and their artificially modified vehicles that are only said vehicles in name.

Balance is to be achieved via BRs and counterparts.

Who need new spa? Those, who explode three times in a row don’t do a single frag, and still have enough sp to take down a 900sp aircraft with one button press.
Nerf/Remove Pants1r and problem solved.
Fox3 best spaa, that exist in all nations!

And is locked behind millions of RP/SL in a game mode some people don’t like/want to play.

Then spaa should cost same spawn point like MBT. Not less that 100sp as 3rd or 4th spawn. Since people don’t want to research top tier airplanes, why do other peoples who researched them have to suffer?

You aren’t suffering with your top tier planes as they’re much more powerful than top tier AAs.
AA SP cost is more than fine, as their ability to engage ground units is next to zero.

AA at BRs excluding 7.3-9.3 can be easily dodged by almost all CAS planes at the same BR. Obviously there are exceptions, some SPAA aren’t that good, and some CAS easily outranges SPAA at the same BR.

If you’re being shot down by vehicles with 13km range while having a missile with 20km range the issue is not the vehicle on the ground.

This means they will give a couple more imbolance air defense systems for the USSR side. Most likely they will introduce a new Pansir or M1 BUK or C-300. And the USA will give anti-aircraft guns based on Sherman or based on Helf-truck.
