I need suggestions about the Torpedo Attack challenge

First of all, I’m not sure if this post is in the right section of the forum.
Since my problem is in Realistic Naval battles, I’ve posted here.

I try to do the Torped Attack challenge, but I am not succesful at all.
I play the premium German Z47 bluewater ship, because it is my only Rank III bluewater ship with torpedos yet.

Unfortunately, I can’t reach any enemy within 1 km, because they destroy my ship.

I accept any suggestions.

Suggestion is,buy Yamashiro,uptier urself to 7.0,take Shimakaze and spam torps in AB cause reloads. Did it in single big circle game.

Unfortunately I can’t buy the Yamashiro. It isn’t in game, and it isn’t in the market place.

But if follow your thinking, I can put the Me 262 ( B.R. 7.0 ) to the line up and I can give a try.

Somehow the matchmaker doesn’t sense the Me 262 A-1a in the line-up. Same in naval arcade, and naval realistic.

Is this a typo, or if not, why are you trying to get within 1km ?

It is not a typo.

Earlier in War Thunder, there was a suggestion by the game: If you want to destroy a ship with a torpedo, you should launch it from less thennnnn 1 km.

It was for planes, and I know they are not ships. But for me there isn’t any difference between ship torpedos and pane torpedos.

Planes work in in naval only within 0.7 BR from the highest ship afaik.

There is actually quite a difference; different torpedo types (especially ranges and speed), number of torpedoes (planes have a lots less… need more accuracy with them), speed of delivery, etc…

Bluewater ship torpedoes are kind of long distance fire-and-forget, hail-mary shotguns

When reading it, don’t get too caught up on ship types, but read about the methods of how they’re using the torps… you can do all that with your ship

I wish it was 0.7 its unfortunately only 0.3 though

Play arcade for the torp reloads (and speed buff) and spam them into the spawn at max range until you get lucky. Go for BBs that are parked to shell. don’t just fire along the lead indicator fire a good spread both in front and behind it incase they change speed.
