Two of my favorite vehicles in this game are extremely broken and not the most fun to play…
The Strv M/42 Delat Torn, with a ‘magazine’ or ‘hopper’ feed tray to a belt that loaded it into the gun.
The ‘hopper-feeder’ is considered a ‘first load’ magazine, and for some reason takes a whopping 17.5 seconds to replenish, which is extremely inaccurate. The round size, and the feed type really shows it. It would only take about 7-9 seconds to load one set of 3 rounds from the side of the turret to the feed hopper, then after those rounds are all used, there is another set of 3 on the wall, resulting in a another time of only 7-9 seconds to fully refill the ready-rack/ammo hopper.
It’s extremely unrealistic, and a buff the tank with no armor severely needs.
The next one is one that’s been regularly talked about recently, and people, despite being bugged by it for the longest time, are finally taking action. The Strf/LvKv 9040’s feed tray/ready rack loading rate.
The commander and gunner would leave their stations and pull ammo from the lower carousel under their floor; loading about 4 rounds in 2 seconds, while it takes a yet again a large 62 seconds to replenish TWENTY FOUR ROUNDS. Not of 105mm, not 120mm, 40mm rounds…
You essentially have to push, reserve as much ammo as possible, and try not to die, using your cannon is practically an afterthought once your ready rack of a lackluster 24 rounds that don’t do a decent amount of damage sometimes, is completely used and take a minute to reload to a useable state…
Another gripe I have is the Viggen, or really all ‘tandem wheel’ or ‘wheel bogey’ landing gear. The bogey should oscillate to keep the wheels on the ground during rake of and landing, my big issue with the JA37’s gear is it’s had a big report open and noted as an issue for a whopping 4 years iirc.
It’s just getting ridiculous that things known to be issues aren’t fixed in favor of new flashy vehicles or maps to draw in a kid with their moms credit card.
