I give up on 10.3+

I know this has likely been beaten to death on here, considering the current state of 10.3 and up right now, but I just had to make my dissatisfaction and disappointment known, I had to say SOMETHING, because I actually love top tier.

Enjoying top tier is an uncommon opinion, but I myself find the different style of gameplay, focused more on speed and positioning than tanking hits (Yes, I am aware that speed and positioning are highly important in lower BRs as well, but I feel that the emphasis is much higher in top tier, where armor is much less reliable and forgiving).

Ever since the day I accquired my first Challenger 1, I’ve been in love with the BR range of 10.3. Its high enough that you get to experience the speed of the top, but armor is still thick enough that some mistakes can be forgiven occasionally. And I did eventually make my way into the Challenger 2s, which I still enjoy, and once I had the research bonus, I began going down other trees as well.

Recently I accquired my first lineup that included an Abrams. I was ecstatic. Finally I could experience an MBT that wasnt considered to me mid at best.

But unfortunately, I progressed to this BR at the worst time possible. With the release of the BMPT, everything about this BR range changed. Not since the 2S38 has this level of unfun been achieved. Something so unbalanced, that it genuinely makes playing anything but one nation untennable. Creating a self-feeding cycle where the best players get sick of fighting the vehicle, and move over to russia just so they dont have to face it, leaving only the less experienced, or those unfortunate enough to be stock grinding a new nation’s tanks to populate the other nations, leading to CONSTANT one-sided stomps.

I know the vehicle has been hit with several nerfs already, but genuinely Gaijin, its not enough. 10.3+ is unplayable right now, and unfortunately, until something fundemental about the BMPT changes, I dont see this changing anytime soon. Im not even sure raising its BR anymore will fix it, it will just move the problem up so that less people have to endure it.

So please, this is a cry for help more than anything. Gaijin, please…just make this BR fun again.

Glad I was able to experience top tier ground before the BMPT came. Every nation from 1.0-10.0 has a specefic lineup that is extremely fun to play. Find it and have fun. Come to top tier once in a while when u get bored, die by kh38 and LMUR spam or bmpt rush and then realize why you left top tier lmao.

Its my first post on the topic, and is less pointless complaining, and more of a genuine desire for things to get better.

As I said, I enjoyed top tier a LOT, but when even I am having a bad time, there is clearly a problem, and everyone knows that the problem is, clearly.

I am simply adding my voice to the choir in hopes that it will be changed.

im almost nostalgic for when the meta was F-16 with maverics. before the KH38 and when the pantsir was so absurdly OP compared to everything else that we thought that it would be the thing to kill top tier

Oh man the golden days. A time when top tier games can be so fun fighting for the win. Now it doesn’t matter if effort is put in when certain vehicles are point and click adventures. It gets so one sided so fast, it’s not fun on both the losing and winning side. Though I find it fun revisiting old br and realize its so fun where skill and effort matters more.

I dont bother going above 9.3 nowadays as i know that if im facing russia 80% of the time im going to lose.

Matches feel completely predetermined and not just from bad damage models kept bad to keep T-34s OP, it feels like everyone that isnt playing russia has their stuff held back and modelled so badly just to pump the devs nationalistic egos.

no clue how true that is but its the impression i get

9.3 was saved with the 2s38, t80ud, and bmpt getting bumped up. Its the highest I go to as well since Japan has an amazing 9.3 lineup which can now do well with russia 10.3 spam gone.

CAS problem are worse, at least I often solo bmpt with my tank but can’t do shit about jets launching missiles from planet mars.

yea thats a silver lining now that my 9.0 lineup got moved to 9.3 because of major nation skill issue
