ARH missiles don’t work against helis unless they’re moving at a bit of a pace.
Rotor return is not modeled, so a stationary heli is passively notching all the time.

Why is it hit ? It’s hovering

At 12.7, I see almost every game MI-28NMs hovering very high in the sky like that, and swarms of ARH missiles are fired at it, but they’re all redirected and miss. I don’t understand how does that work for the MI-28NM, but not this one

Confirmation bias. Those 28NM players multipathed, the Helis getting hit by BUK did not.

The helicopter was not moving to any side, so the missile did not see it, but the heli was basically in the same place, so DL and IOG was enough to hit it. Also the fact that Buk missile is huge, so it is easy for it to proxy on a helicopter.

Besides, when playing BUK , best change to hit helo is to shut down main radar completely, use missile launcher and get an lock on it using only carriers “radar”.

Buks main radar is just nearly a joke since it got so slow scan rate.
It completely trust on IOG and that halfmoonsize trigger radius on missile.

LDIRCM doesnt affect radar missiles, only IR ones.

That means you can also get killed by aim120. Just fly low.

Here’s the proof you’re lying to protect the russian bias, because I have literally tens of clips showing MI-28NMs hovering very high in the sky and avoiding swarms of ARH missiles coming at them.

When I get back on my PC, I’ll show them. I’ve seen 2 todays doing that.

There is no lie russian main with less winrates with his russian MBTs than my poor and thin 9.3/.7 VBCI/VBCI 2 used at 12.7

Well, being ARH its not affected by IRCM, so… its 100% not that.

So comparing the BUK to say the IRIS-T SLM, doesnt really work in this regard.

But BUK compared to say Sky Sabre, the main difference is warhead size. The much larger warhead helps a lot with dealing with anything hiding in MP.

Though between the lack of radar modeling for the helis (i.e the rotor blades should be a giant PD target) and the fact they still have MP modeled. Helis are a chore to deal with in anything with ARH
