I don't understand why we don't have a Latin American tech tree

Yep, quite the upgrade, huh. It seems the Leopard 2E has some more protection on the turret and better durabilty when it comes to its tracks, 2nd Gen thermals for both the gunner and commander, air conditioning (guess it’s because of the difference in temperatures on the north (colder) and the south (hotter), and an APU.

Because this isn’t Armored Warfare, combination trees have no place.

In this subject only the Leopard 2E, Centauro II and K-2 Black Panther seems to be the best options a Iberian-Latin american tech tree has to offer for a proper battle rating 12.0 line-up.

Well, there’s a lot of light vehicles to choose from, but considering we’re talking about a LATAM-IBERIAN combination the yes.

There is always the country of Biscay to add something for top tier :P

A lot of 30 mm Bushmaster to be fair, a weapon I deslike a lot. If we consider larger caliber light-medium tanks we can consider the TAM 2C-A2, Scorpion 90.

If we consider trailed vehicles in Latin america we can consider VT-4 for Colombia and Brazil, CV9030 and CV90120 for Brazil, I’m listing the most known obviously if you go deeper in national medias channels you can find more.

Listenbourg may be a great candidate for this possible Iberian tech tree.

Like Luxembourg, definetly too OP to be added

Just had a deeper look onto the top tier situation on the LATAM tree. It does indeed miss some 12.0 vehicles so it’d need something to fill up the spots. From Spain we can only expect the Leopard 2E and Portugal is somewhat short on MBTs with only 34 Leopard 2A6s and 400 IFVs. Best solution would be to either see what the LATAM tree could offer besides what we’ve seen for the 12.0 lineup or we can also keep dreaming.

Okay after a look at the suggestions, I’ve found this one Light Tank (i don’t know what I’m supposed to considere light these days):

Apparently the Leopard 2E has undergone some improvements but I don’t know to which extent.

You could have a Spanish tree with other subtrees.

Spain would have the Leo 2A4, 2E and the 2E Tortuga, which would be supported by Portuguese Leopards (along Chilean ones, maybe). High BR would mostly be copy paste like many other nations, sadly (although with some interesting things such as the Lince or Centauro SABBLIR).

The most bright part of the tree would be interwar and Cold War. The AMX-30EM2 has a special place in my heart, while many other interesting vehicles would definitely be able to be added.

The only issue I’d see with Portugal is the EBR 1954. They used it extensively, buuuut we can’t have another situation like the M8 Greyhound in my opinion.

All in all I believe a Spanish tree with a Portuguese subtree would definitely be doable and enjoyable. If you added more nations like Brazil or Argentina it’d be even better.

BeNeLux unfortunately needs a word with you. They are a literal combination tree shoved into france (which should have been their own tree, they have the vehicle selection for it)

“Scandanvia” technically too

true, however this isnt officially a grouping confirmed by the snail. Even tho “not every nation will be represented in WT” it would be nice to at least see regions or groups of nations bound by modern coalitions such as BRICs or by Empires of not so long ago would be allocated to a tree for IF something of theirs is to be added it saves the bickering and claiming from mains of a certain big three TTs

Sólo sería copy-paste 🥱

gaijin is testing the latin american community in other games, it would be very interesting to have premium vehicles or battlepass in war thunder

Many countries weren’t sovereign for far longer time than Israel and they can still develop more than just 19 different kind of M60, honestly it’s just that the composisiton of the tree itself is very boring.

I was referring more to the 10 - 15 year or so gap between where Israel starts and the other 9 nations do . . most are at least 10 years farther along as far as tech goes.
It’s not about WHEN any of these nations began, but as a comparison to the game’s “starting point” itself. It’s not now or ever has been an exclusive “WW II” game as is often stated. Starting out from interwar to early jets well past the end of WW II, WT has always had a decent/fair “spread” to the vehicles in game.
That spread has just gotten bigger and bigger going well past 100 years of military tech now.
Israel, as is, is still prolly the fastest and easiest tech tree to get to high/top tier and most modern vehicles. And to those that came clamoring into the game in recent years all “I wanna fly a jet” . . . it would seem ideal.
I wonder how many newer players have gone this route?
At any rate, the “half” tree thing was just a hard, fast & bold move/change by Gaijin.
Some like it, and it may have it’s upside, but me personally . . if it doesn’t have the first 3 tiers, it shouldn’t be a standalone nation. But who in the world would you add as a “sub-tree” to this Israel to fill it out . . . I don’t see it myself.

Cause game development takes time.
