Hungarian Ground Forces

Thank you! It means a lot :)

The reason could be connections in ww2 with Italy, like buying equipment, same alliance and etc… But I think that does not mean really much, we bought equipment from Sweden, Czechs and Germany too. Hungary was in the warsaw pact and not in NATO after ww2…

Also Italy has (to my knowledge) a lot of vehicles remaining that could boost lower tiers and top tier.
Also Italy announced that they are going to buy leopards (probably 2a7), so Hungary’s leopard wont really do anything.

Interesting idea.

Yes I agree, hungary’s navy should be ships that were made in Hungary like the SMS Szent István.

There are planes from Hungary, that were hungarian designed and built. Also there are modifications done to planes that Hungary operated.

Some of the planes:
WM-21 Sólyom
MÁVAG Héja I
MÁVAG Héja II
WM 16A
WM 16B
WM 23 Ezüstnyíl (Silver arrow)
AVIS I
AVIS II
AVIS III
RMI-1 X/H
RMI-8 X/V
Me 210 Ca-1
Me 210 Ca-1 40mm
Me 210 Ca-1 Turul (radar version)

Also I am currently researching Hungary’s bombers, the bombers were Italian or German but hungarians changed their defensive armaments to hungarian machineguns, which had higher fire rates and maybe two barrels instead of one.

Hungary did not have a lot of planes but it had some. The places where there is no hungarian plane you can add german or italian, and at higher tiers the equipment would change to soviet.

If you want help with the tech tree, I can help you.

I think when it comes to smaller and proposed tech trees what matters is quality more than quantity. Also Hungary was more allied with Germany than actualy Italy. Really well done :)

Yesterday, the Rheinmetall factory in Hungary was handed over and its starting the production of armored vehicles.

Rheinmetall factory

Interesting thing is that the KF-51 was shown in Hungary at the factory.

KF51 in Hungary

The CEO of Rheinmetall said that even in Hungary it could be manufactured. Now this does not mean Hungary will manufacture it, there is no procurement or anything from Hungary.

I just put these as an interesting event thats happening in Hungary.

Also I will try to update the tree at some point. If someone has a suggestion, advice or something than I am happy to hear it.

well Hungary just ordered the Leopard 2A7HU, so i doubt there is a reason / budget to get the KF51, this is more of a promotion thing to show of their development of the KF51 to investors and co

oh i thought they would get them with remote weapons station, or are those yet to be installed?

Great question, I dont really know if there will be any on them. Even the leopard 2A4HU does not have
a remote controlled station. The only vehicles that have a remote weapon station are the KF-41 Lynx and the Gidrán.

The thing is we have to see it in the future, because anywhere I read there was no mention of a remote weapon station.

Those arent on during transportation, it would be pretty high.

those are the resolution pictures of the HU, like Milta said maybe just for transportation

oh okay then :)

This photo is nothing more than a brochure that is not related to reality. This modification will be without additional active armor, as it is prohibited for export

well yeah i said a resolution picture of how the planned HU version is supposed to look, besides that what active armor? I didnt know Leopards had some kind of ERA since it went against doctrine as well

In this brochure, there is a photo with active armor, I’m talking about it

Yeah, after thinking about it that makes sense. The lynxes came without the remote weapon station as well.

the few site panels at the frontal site? i am not aware what part in the brochure would be the active armor
