They can’t find people to crew said tanks to begin with… Do you think upgrading the armor is their biggest concern
When reading through the full document that Gaijin used to say only 5 hulls existed, it talks about the SEP program. It is highly likely the 5 prototype were for the SEP program. But can not find anything that proves it was approved for the production.
At this stage I wouldn’t care whether or not it’s a DU hull so long the protection is noticeably improved.
Nah dont say that at this point theyre waiting for us to compromise
Omg just stop with your propaganda jackal why do you always need to be called out!
Dude don’t waste your energy on him. He’s just a troll and feeds on it.
Can someone tell me why all the Abrams(and HVSTL) are so horrifically loud? To the point that trying to play them as glass canons and not get hit is much more harder than other tanks with no armor like the type 10/tkx I also play?
I don’t think people fully understand just how bad it is when everyone with anyone with ears and a brain cell can pinpoint exactly what area you are in with sound alone consistently within 800m with out needing to sound whore or turn your own engines off. Literally no element of surprise at all
Hah came back from new year’s tip still nothing change at all
“Turbine Engine Loud” or something
but I think irl its really quiet until like 200m or so, just going off the top of my head so could be completely wrong
I think part of the dev team celebrates orthodox (or whatever it’s called) christmas, so it was never reallistic to expect anything to really change before the second half of January.
This is true, even as Protestants, my family and I keep our Christmas lights out as tradition dictates for the next three weeks in recognition of the three wise men traversing to meet Yeshua.
Orthodox Catholics or Protestants equally recognize this, at least simply to keep the spirit of Christmas in mind.
At the very least, they can return to us and read these suggestions (it would help I think if they saw that we’re not being unreasonable in asking for buffs for every nation).
The problem lies in the way we can turn up the engine noise of enemies to ascertain their location. It’s often used by ‘leets’ like myself to help prepare for sudden changes.
In the turbine’s case, the whine shouldn’t be able to be heard, the tracks would be. At least if you were an infantryman or groundpounder. You’d hear a distant rumble first, and then your ears catch the whine.
By contrast, diesels’ grumbling are heard from roughly 500 meters, and in certain areas they resonate even more loudly.
This is different only if you are behind the Abrams. Then the turbine’s pitch is directed at you, and clearly becomes loud as hell.
But in real life, no tanker hears much beyond the clank of the tracks and the hum of the turbine shifting and whining behind you. Same is true of most tankers. So we can’t even really make out others’ engine noises without our engines completely turned off.
USA has not seen competition in regards to annual GDP spent on a military in well over half a century.
There’s absolutely no goddamn shot we’ve slacked when it comes to upgrading our MBTs.
None.
Yak 141 had real radar fitted the thing it didnt have fitted was irst
so nice copium
The aircraft never flew with any armament or sensors… just wooden mockups and empty space.
Somehow it ended up with them in game…
Abrams upgrade prototypes being tested with armor increase weight simulators:
Obviously didn’t happen.
Yak-141 flying around with a wooden radar, no IRST, and wooden weapons:
Obviously it would’ve happened in production.
The copium here is Gaijin’s. (And it seems also yours.)
You have to remember, gaijin is in the real of " belief now " whatever they believe to be true, must be true! oh and russian bias
I 100% agree. It would also help a lot.
I respect that they still celebrate their traditions and stuff, everyone should be able to do that. And knowing that they have fixes for the Abrams planned in the short term planning would be enough for me personally for a while.
Fix the bloody Challenger 2s aswell…
Just read the book of ORR Kelly (published in 1989) and here is what I found:
- Statistics that were used while deciding where to concentrate the new type of armor, which show that the importance of frontal protection of the turret and the hull are roughly equal, just a 3% difference. (40% and 37%)
- The weight added by the implementation of DU armor. Here it’s well said that the relatively low amount of DU was used for each tank, and the weight increase just in case of the armor was around 1 ton, so all the Gaijin assumptions regarding the front suspension overload is unrealistic and irrelevant. Also, the fact that on the outside there are no visual changes supports this statement.
yup, and gaijin did all of this on purpose, hell the KA-50 is sitting at 11.0 with the 2S6
