And this is relevant to the topic of abrams hull in what way?

Also even according to gajin sources abrams side armor is inccorect, it should be 150mm not 67mm or something like that against kinetic and 320mm against CE and not 270

Ah yes ‘‘leaked classified documents’’. How many incidents have we already had?

@Smin1080p classified document?

It is not classified.

ok. mods problem

do you see the logo bottom right of that image…

I’d ignore it anyway and leave it to mods since i can’t tell wether its classified or not wether it has ‘‘ifunnyco’’ on it or not

What was the source name for this btw?

Bro Gaijin posted this in the blog as a source. Swedish trial data is what we have in the game. The leaked classified document title is just meme crap someone added.

@SpeclistMain the source is M1 Abrams at war by michael green. I have been working on getting in contact with the author and got an email to him earlier today to see where he gets he penetration values from.

Pretty sure the 150mm side armor is from a 30 degree angle based on the forward protection arc.

If you see here you get similar results.

Oh, well I credited it for the M1 Abrams Main Battle Tank Manual (Haynes Manuals) in a youtube comment but oh well lol. It got auto-deleted by youtube for having source links anyways…

Hey Kyra.

Remove TUSK, give M829A3 with proper anti-ERA measures (because it is improved enough it will shatter through Kontakt 1 and Kontakt 2), and improve turret cheeks AND the hull armor, because HAP-2 and HAP-3 armor buffs were not just a change to the DU screens, they were also a improvement on the ceramics, the fillers, and the spall liners involved.

PS: And fix the turret ring.

If Gaijin cannot or will not do at least two of those things in the next few updates, I’m not buying past the M1A2 SEPv1 in game, and I’m explaining to everyone that it’s just an export model without DU armor, because that’s collectively what they are right now.

I’m aware I’m not an acceptable source, but then, considering the massive amount of resources we’ve shown here, combined with an actual 1995 document telling us approximately the size and width of HAP-1 DU plating created and shipped (I’m still trying to get estimates on how wide those plates would be and how thick), we can approximately understand that both HAP-2 and HAP-3 were improved not only in filler to endure multiple hits, but also to endure heavier penetration from KE projectiles, and most certainly improved against CE.

Every single one is a FOMO event, so doesnt count

HSTVL is heavily over BRd and missing a bunch of features and is nerfed

XM1069 is not the best ADS, it only has 8 missiles, with no gun depression. The best ADS is the pantsir. The XM1069 is an OK TD and a Good ADS. Not the best.

Turkish M60, fights at a BR where spaced armor and ERA is present and it has none of that, its also a super rare event than no one has

MBT-70, same with germany, its an iconic vehicle that grandfathered US MBTs, the XM803 could’ve been a premium, but it was introduced in a time where top tier was small. Neither are meta, and face constant uptiers and have recieved big APFSDS nerfs

YAH64, no flares at a high BR, the grind is miserable, only have 114Bs, its nothing vs the 2 Ka’s.

If they take of the garbage that is TUSK 2 I will get the v2, until they buff or do that. It is a waste of a slot.

Setting aside primary sources, secondary sources and whatever for a moment- how likely, just by logic, do you all find the idea of the United States of America being as negligent as to not upgrading the armor of their workhorse Main Battle Tank since 1979/1987 (hull/turret, respectively) up to the present day?

Considering how obsessive compulsive the US Military tends to be about maintaining a degree of over-match? Exceedingly low odds there.
