HSTV-L has an undeveloped ammo

Yeah OP wants a different ammo type, because he cannot aim, same story different day. He also compares the Walker bulldog to the hstvl somehow.

I guess 99% of HSTV-L players can’t aim then, because its average K/D / KPS is abysmal.

No, this is just factually incorrect. They’re br placement Is based on:

  1. Lethality
  2. Effectiveness
  3. Team supportability
  4. Win rates

Yeah you’re right. I’d say Lethality and Effectiveness go hand in hand with killing potential.
FV4005 is a good example of a mediocre vehicle that is still kinda reasonable at 6.3 due to its high lethality but low practicality / effectiveness in different situations.

HSTV-L is on the other spectrum in my opinion, as it has high versatility / effectiveness, but low lethality in most cases. This is the same with the PUMA and other NATO 30mm APFSDS slingers, like the Vilkas and KF41.

Team supportability is questionable, but I can see that being the case for some light tanks, like the M3A3 Bradley and such.

Win rates is something that shouldn’t affect a vehicle’s BR placement, but unfortunately Gaijin still takes them into account I guess.

There is a link between the HSTV-L/RDF and the Walker Bulldog.

Out of the 5 RDF/LT varients, a 76mm armed version firing M464? Was made as an export model because XM274 wasnt going to be allowed to be sold on the export market.

You’re talking about the Chinese 8.0 Bulldog, yes? The M41D gets that round.

@HondaCivici
That’s 4500 hours over 11 years total. I’ve been playing as if I had the free time of a full time job + 3 other video games at once for the last 6 years.
I have dozens of hours of experience in 2S38, VCC-80/60, HSTVL, and Begleit.

And now you claim no one has ever used AGM-114s except yourself by claiming that people with less hours than I which are far more intelligent than you or myself are less valuable than my own opinions on AGM-114s.
Yeah, your post is null and void.

Yeah, its also funny that M464 has higher pen the XM885.

It doesn’t. It’s similar pen. Look at the screenshot prior to posting.

Last time I checked 280>276. If the screenshot is out of date and its been changed since, cool but its still funny M464 has or had higher pen then 885.

What are you on about?

I have counted, and you have gotten a total of 160 matches with all them combined.

I have gotten 515 matches in the HSTV-L alone

,and @HondaCivici has 1684 matches in the HSTV-L alone.

You do not nearly have as much experience as we do in them.

Now, you don’t always need experience to tell whether a vehicle is good or not (for example, I know the VCC-80/60 is bad at 9.3 just because I have seen its characteristics at the BR, had experience with similar vehicles - like the HSTV-L - have seen its average stats, and have watched gameplay videos on it), but it definitely helps form an informed opinion on them.

Please quote me on where I said this, I’ll wait.

I think you’re the only one in the entire forum who has claimed the 114s are equivalent to the Vikhrs while also touting your “experience” in using it.

@HondaCivici
Good thing military experts are smarter than us forum users.
Definitely just a coincidence the entire planet uses radar/laser over beam riding and not cause SACLOS is an inferior guidance method.
I’m not going to entertain your posts’ attempted derailment of the topic though. You know, the Russian speaking forum likely agrees with all of your posts’ Russia takes.

@rainy2000
“You don’t have 20,000 hours in WT! You’re inferior!” type nonsense.
You can keep calling 2S38, HSTVL, VCC-80/60 all bad all you want, that won’t change the reality that your own performance in them proves they’re good.

It’s clear I know the HSTVL otherwise I wouldn’t have its KDR while stock.
“You don’t have experience.” means nothing when I have your performance in the HSTVL while mine is stock; your claim against me is also a claim against yourself.

Number of battles is time, performance per battle and per life is experience.

Also, why are you doing a red herring and ad hominem against me instead of addressing my on-topic points?

The performance of the players who are using them are not good, a lot of fairly good content creators also are saying that they aren’t that good.
Stop deluding yourself into thinking otherwise.
Your performance is mediocre in it, my HSTV-L performance is mediocre for what it’s ‘suppose’ to be (and I could say it still is after the buff).
They’re all very situational vehicles, which is not a good sign of a great vehicle.

Again, deluding yourself into thinking that a small sample of 22 matches is statistically significant enough to consider yourself a better player in it.
Imagine if I had played a vehicle for 3 matches and got 2 kills on the first two and got 13 kills on the third. Am I now the best HSTV-L player in the world since I am averaging a 5.7 K/D?
You’re also forgetting that you have been playing it after the reload buff, and I was not nearly as good of a player back then as I am now.

Which points am I not addressing, and where have I insulted you?

So, again…

I just played another 8 matches if the HSTVL…

Guess what happened? Most games I average 4:1 kd, but the team folded so quickly in most games, or rather were just playing as if it was a solo game.

  • Team work in USA is no where to be found.
  • Players aren’t play the tanks as the should be played
  • the fire rate is so high now I find myself wasting more ammo than before as I’m not taking careful shots.

Even though my only mobility upgrade is the filters, and I don’t have HE-VT, I wasn’t suffering in the least.

Thus the HSTVL doesn’t need to go down in br. It is a good vehicle. Was pre buff, Is post buff.

I’ll watch some of your replays then.
I am curious, although I wouldn’t be surprised.
Good players can get crappy vehicles to perform for them.

Something that you can get used to, but it is more of a benefit than it is a problem.

Mobility is important, but I hardly find a time when I’d rather have taken 3 HE-VT rounds over 3 more APFSDS rounds. You’re fine with what you had in my opinion.

I don’t think so.

Also, most kills were 1 taps, some took 2-5 shots, those who were more survivable were the Leo’s of all things, surprise surprise

When were those matches?
And I am not surprised that you can kill T-80s from the side or LFP. NATO MBTs are generally way more survivable.

Literally within the last couple hours
