I’m hoping nation folders come soon so we can actually start seeing more Australian (+Canadian and New Zealand stuff).
Actually has it been confirmed that Australia is an official subtree? If not, maybe it can join with Canada and New Zealand to form a tree or something.
can, aus and nz are all already in the uk tree together 🤷♂️

i mean, 6/13 canadian vehicles are in the uk tree, holding the majority (ger 2/13, usa 4/13) new zealand is entirely in the uk tree and 14/15 australian vehicles are in the uk tree. so i would say the argument for australia being split between multiple nations is negligable, yet canada has some debate around it still
My main issue with the current implementation is that a pretty noticeable amount of said vehicles are either premiums or events/BP.
That and why on earth did India get the second subtree slot over the other 3? India is just relegated to either copy paste from the USSR in terms of tech tree vehicles and barring the Bishima, the unique vehicles are either overpriced premiums or events.
(At least the naval segment for all 3 is entirely in the UK tech tree)

Benelux 🥀. Could’ve been a great ground subtree but is solely used for the umpteenth M44 and unmodified Leopard 2s.
sometimes i think that it should’ve been split up and only belgium and luxemborg going to france, but yeah let’s add another leopard2 to italy instead of adding the osrio which while it wouldn’t have been top tier there would at least be something with a lower frontal plate instead of lower frontal paper
Majority of Australians I’ve discussed it with want to be in the British tree. The split across trees was infuriating, as the Abrams also should have gone to the British tree but to avoid American tears, they didn’t put it where it should be.
So far Australia is not a sub tree of the UK, otherwise our incorrectly placed Abrams would be in the UK.
As a side note, I have a suggestion in pending with regards to a united Australia/Canada/New Zealand aviation tree. Nation folders would be preferable, but clearly we won’t get sub tree treatment so a united tech tree is the backup plan.
I’m honestly tired of the purist attitude when it comes to modified export/capture/aid vehicles, I can understand if it’s a copy paste with no differences that doesn’t fill a proper gap (like the suggestions for the USA/USSR centauro or Israeli trialed Mig-29).

Abrams would have addressed the issues with British toptier ground lines that Gaijin refuse to fix, far more reliably than them fixing the Challies. So would Canadian kit. But yanks needed the Nth squadron vehicle more apparently.
As an Aussie I don’t care about the method EXCEPT for the Israel tech-tree option. That’s a no from me. Most Aussies don’t endorse Israeli politics and have nothing to do with Israel in general.

It should have been AU & CA in the UK tree instead of India & SA, but Gaijin said themselves that they aren’t doing it and now with the India & SA actually in the TT doubt it will happen. Really hard to understand why they did it because I’d reckon AU & CA has much more players. Their equipment is also NATO stuff instead of Eastern bloc, which is very appreciated in sim, thanks.
Could go on about it but what does it help. The last big nation change was when Italian planes moved years ago. Now AU & CA are spread everywhere. Just dumb.
If Switzerland went to Germany, they can go to Israel, makes same amount of sense.
Switzerland has much more to do with Germany throughout history than Australia has had to do with Israel (nothing). But I agree, it makes little sense to send Switzerland - the one nation who has valued neutrality and peace above all, with the nation which was a, or the, driving force of both world wars, lol.
Anyway, it’s not going to happen, so I’m not even going to discuss further. I was just walking past demonstrations in Melbourne against the Israeli regime the other day. It’s just absurd that it would even be a suggestion to have such an association, even in a video game. Peace.

But Switzerland mainly has so much to do with them solely because we are neighbours.
The culture is still massively different and Swiss don’t want to be seen as German.
