My issue with “leave Australia as premium vehicles” is the number of Australian vehicles I personally want in the game and how long it would take to add them at the current rate of addition. Not to mention, I would have to buy all of them every time. Although on the subject of money, I would probably be someone who buys things like crew slots, all the premiums, maybe crew xp etc. for a new tech tree Australia was part of.
It’s important to remember that just because USA doesn’t currently have the best version of an F-15, that doesn’t mean it needs a sub tree. USA will still get better F-15s later on, this is just the order of release Gaijin has done them in so far. But there are vehicles out there that other nations will get better versions of simply because that’s what happened in real history.
New nations will still need to happen, there’s lots of interesting content out there that doesn’t fit within the current tech trees (for reasons such as the 5 line tech tree limit that apparently exists, although I’m still quite ok with the alternate tab trees idea). Israel wasn’t handled very well, but that shouldn’t put us off wanting to see the content we want to see. And hopefully Israel will get a major content boost at some point anyway.

Looks like we’ll see how higher rank Australian air gets handled, next update

Honestly, if they put it in the British Tech Tree, I’m going to be a bit disappointed…
Better to just put Australian stuff in the British tree. Alongside Canadian stuff. And that one New Zealander abomination.
This includes the Australian F111. Yanks stole our MBT, not going to be impressed if they also filch one of our planes.

Well it did go to the British tech tree. It does mean we can’t use the M1A1 AIM and F-111C together. Sad Australian noises. I’m not disappointed the F-111C is in the British tree, I’m disappointed the AIM is in the USA tree unlike any other Australian vehicles.

i’m sure it’s not impossible that you’ll be able to play F-111C and an aussie abrams at some point at least
also you do still get F-111F in USA tree which im sure there’s a custom skin to turn it into F-111C
That’s why I want Australia in a tech tree where everything is together and a large amount of its content is introduced. That’s why I make threads like this. :-D
Btw console players can’t use custom skins, but I can slap a RAAF roundel on the US F-111s.

oh yeah that reminds me, someone found a lead saying F-35As could use ASRAAMs, AUS is the only country that has ASRAAMS and F-35As but it says you got rid of em after selling your F/A-18Cs, did you have any in surplus so that F-35As can use ASRAAMS? because it seems odd that they’re compatable but nobody has a use for htem
Hmm, as far as I know UK uses ASRAAMs on their F-35Bs. We do not use them on RAAF F-35As.
I just wanted to thank everyone for the votes and input. Even if my preferred option was not popular, it was still interesting to see how, as of typing, 95 people voted.

NZ, Australia, Canada for low to mid-tier (maybe other interesting vehicles) and India helps out at top tier?
That sounds like a Commonwealth tree.
I’d like to see a Commonwealth tree:
India, Australia, Canada, South Africa as the primary contributors.
i think the british tree may be rather dull premium wise if you take away almost every source of premium they have
You could still have premiums based on commonwealth vehicles. Like Germany kept all the Italian planes when Italy got its own tree
Every purchasable premium in UK save for the Ram II (could easily be replaced with a new premium in the event of a Canada going to a new tree), the A.C.IV (there’s already a Comet there anyway) and a couple at rank 6 (the Khalid would stay anyway) are British anyway. England has PLENTY of fun stuff to provide itself with premiums if needed.

Better yet, it could be replaced by the UK-operated ones.

A commonwealth tech tree might be a good way to implement Australia
