I have officially got the Su-30sm2… hopefully it better then the su-30sm. But how am I suppose to stock grind this? I find it quite difficult to stock grind without chaff. People say I shouldn’t use the R-77-1 on this aircraft and instead use the R-27ER? Any tips?
Is a matter of how you play, like most vehicles in War Thunder, this video although not a guide should explain the basics with clips, for fast researching the modifications get yourself at least 2x ZB-500 bombs should give you a good amount of points per match including two or three aerial scores at the best of scenarios.
I can’t reach the battlefield and bomb the base… the trees are too tall for multipathing.

Going low is your only option unfortunately. However there are actually something to know about that beyond multipathing. This may sound strange, but notching is actually very effective when close to the ground, it does not even need chaff. This is due to one fact: ARH missiles can NOT use SRC radar mode when shooting downwards. This means all ARH missiles are forced to use PD radar mode when coming from above. It makes them extremely vulnerable to notching, as they can only fall back to DL and IOG, both of which are very inaccurate.
Notching is not a perfect solution as you will waste some time doing it, but it is certainly much better than participating in the multipath lottery.

Honestly you have two good options and it’s down to personal preference. R-27ER is as close as you can get to a forced kill in this game, as they can be incredibly difficult to defeat, especially if you relock the plane. However, they are not fire and forget like the R-77-1, making them ineffective against multiple people.
Because of this I would actually recommend trying at least one R-27ER now when you’re missing your full loadout and are not shooting at multiple people, nor can you afford to waste missiles.
About a week ago i was in same boat as you.
What i did was get myself 2 napalm, then bomb base while still engaging aircraft.
Start of the match what i did was i fly forward near ground (not below 300m). when i see a missile, i will turn notch angle then multiple path or i maneuver aggressive (up n down, left n right) trying to draining missiles energy.
