I just got the US F4J and it gets two aim9Ds and a crappy gun pod… at 12.0.
How am I supposed to unlock new mods with this? What mods should i get and in what order?
Why don’t I at least get Aim9Gs or a few Aim7Es stock?
Does Gaijin hate phantoms?

fly sideway to prevent eating radar missiles, go groundpound and fly toward the enemy’s frontline airfield with no AA after a while and see if any people land there
These are what I always do for high tier stock grinding
Gaijin really tries his best to let people suffer

Here is the order i would suggest.
Aim9d
Chaff
Aim9g
Airframe
Aim7e
Wing repair
G-suit
Aim7f
Finish up the flight stuff after that
Just buy the better version of the same plane at the same BR, snail needs money.
Spoiler
inb4 some cope poster tries to tell me wing slats don’t make it a direct upgrade
Im not stupid enough to buy a $60 pixel plane
It will be 30 dollars soon, thats a deal!
oh boy i got this yesterday , ngl has been the worst experience stock grinding in my life, what the F gaijin is doing , not only those missiles are rear aspect but they are absolute terrible even once you can get a lock
I genuinely am at a loss for how putrid the grind is for this plane, I’ve flown it about 6 times and could only get two kills before my team melts and I’m swarmed.
Gaijin what the fuck are you doing? Two aim9D’s? at 12.0? Hello??
I know. Even the gun is trash with so much spread so there is nothing going for this stock
hmmm I don’t dislike the gun actually, the spread is an odd advantage imo? In headons you’re basically putting up a wall of lead against your opponent which makes dodging up close a challenge especially low to the ground or in an obstacles rich space. The velocity is also quite good, so not my main gripe with the plane, the flight performance is much more concerning to me.
Edit: managed to get to the E2 DF sparrows and WOW the plane is so much more playable once you get actual weapons, I’m having a good time after all! The HMD + E2 combo is downright nasty.
you have given hope when hope was at it’s least.
