How to Improve War Thunder

If it is like this, maybe some SPAAs should just not be brought into the game! Up Tier or not, its technically a plane hunter and not a tank destroyer and thats able to pack more punch than T-34s who are MEANT to destroy tanks, is just wrong.
But I get what you mean, still the problem with SPAAs, when you both see each other at the same time, its probably gonna kill you, because it shoots faster and can afford to miss, while a medium tank can’t.
And to the 120mm armor again: Yes, it is flat, but even tanks who can penetrate this and damage me, don’t kill me in one shot like this. The armor slows the ammo down and weakens the impact, so that often only 2-3 crew members are injured or maybe one is dead and im still able to get away.
A SPAA triggering its canons once and killing a good armored med tank is not right.

Not at all. They are capable of defending themselves and influencing the match, without being OP. They absolutely belong in the game.

The German 88mm and the American 90mm are legendary anti tank guns that started out as AA guns. Dual purpose is as old as armoured warfare. To hit a plane and hurt it badly, high velocity helps. It turns out that when you turn that weapon against a ground target, you can very well cause them the big ouchie, too.

Real war is much messier than the neat boxes and categorisations we use at our keyboards. And besides, WT is not real life. Sure, the designers of the ZSU-57 were not expecting it to have to shoot a Panther in the face, but the Panther was also not designed to go brawl around a tram wreck in CQC on Advance To The Rhine, for example. It’s a game. We almost never use vehicles “as intended” because gameplay circumstances are incomparable to real war.

Correct, but that is alright. You need situational awareness. Sometimes you will come out on top, sometimes not, that’s the nature of the game.

The ZSU cannot engage you without exposing its ammo for you to shoot. It’s tall, wide, and loud. You are in a Panther, a vehicle that concentrates the vast majority of its protection on the UFP, you have poor turret rotation, mediocre targeting speed, no reverse, no 50 cal… You need to play it accordingly, it’s not a tank to be reckless in.

This largely depends on their explosive filler and/or whether it ignites your ammo. Firing three consecutive salvos of two 57s helps with that.

120mm flat is not turret armour you can rely on at that BR, and the ZSU is basically a TD, so the point is moot really.

Your right and you brought really nice detailed information into your answer, love seeing another autistic war machine fanatic like this! I play all 4 Panthers in one deck, all spaded, because they are my favorite vehicle series, I know damn well how to play them. This SPAA is very dangerous, I just need to be careful and attack him out of the dark, to get a clean hit, otherwise hes faster.

Give SPAA a arcade at type lead indicator under 500m, as an spaa perk

would be nice

In real life spaa would not even survive encounter against tanks but WT is not real life so I don’t complain about spaa killing my tank in battle.

Its stupid that some SPAAs are stronger than tanks

I know that because people complain a lot about the Gepard in forum.

Possibly the only way to improve it is to rip it up and start again.
It has progressed too far with baked in and possibly intended flaws, no amount of patches or improvements can fix something that was fundamentally broken in the first place, all the problems are known about but there is no incentive or will to fix them or they are just impossible to fix in the games current state without totally destroying it.
So to improve it, remake it with all the knowledge gained over the years of the flaws, problems and mistakes.
