How to improve tank RB (ideas/new mode)

Ok I want to start with this with saying that this will be pretty long and it took me a long time to design and work out it is based around USA systems because that is what i’m somewhat educated on this can and should be applied to all nations with their equivalents.

With that out of the way I would like to start with a poll.

To solves these problems and wants it boils down to having ground battles have an option to play on an Air EC size map. It would most likely be a 20v20 or even a 25v25. It would take parts of unlimited spawns of air sim with a SL cost, the limiting of aircraft per person of naval. You would have to pay SL to enter your tank were you can go around and complete task and cap points which would affect the map like with heli battles.

Let me break down the ideas of completing task. This does not mean you kill a certain number of people. You will have to go scout out an enemy convoy. Mark targets for air strikes (like theater defense systems). Find helicopter landing pads. Destroy enemy ammo factory’s (affecting ammo supply like how destroying an airfields repair area works in air sim). Etc

You might be think well how does this fix CAS, CAP, HELI, and SPAA balance.

I’m going to do this in the order of aircraft than SPAA so don’t get angry before you read the entire thing.

(Like I stated before this will be US weaponry because i’m educated on it)

Aircraft will need longer range air to ground and anti radiation weapons like the harpoon and harm missiles found on the F/A-18 and F-16. They will also need to have data link modeled into the game so you can have a lazing aircraft if you want for laser guided bombs. We will also need to see things like the B1, B47, and B52 for some of these “tasks”. All aircraft will have to take off and land. You might think this will make CAS more over powered but you need to remember you will have to look for 25 real players in tanks on a EC map.

We will also need to see some better drones with improved optics to spot and relay information and maybe some suicide drones that could be launched by engineering vehicles.

Additionally these engineering vehicles should be able to construct areas zones where supplies can be airdropped. These zones could be an ammo supply building, a TOW ambush or a Theater Defense System.

(ALL BR’s will have some different set ups so the lower you go the less advance aircraft bots and less advance theater systems you’ll see)

To make this make more sense I will need 3 sub categories of SPAA.

The first one will be short range fast IR missile slingers usually without radar (or a IRST/IR radar) and sometimes a proper radar with a gun. This will be things like the LAV, Stormer, and the Strela. These will have a lower SL spawn cost and be able to complete task like support the convey and they will be able to keep up with MBTs’s.

The second group would be medium range radar SPAA this would go from the American 10.3 Roland to the Pantsir. These take a lot more time to move and get moving than most IR SPAA but they have a longer range. These will keep the lower SL cost but will more likely be used as support for stationary targets like the things the engineering vehicle builds.

The 3rd group would be Theater Defense Systems. These will need to be added and would range from the lackluster but far from bad S-200 and the HAWK systems to the advanced Iron Dorm, THAAD, Patriot, and S-400.

These will be prime targets and will be able to change the course of the game but will come at a higher cost due to this. You could also build the system through friendly supply drops and engineering vehicles to have it for free. These will change the idea and oppression that CAS brings to the game and will bring some spice into flying cas vehicles.

Additionally to flying being less safe real player targets will be harder to find due to the size of the map. of course you will still get rewarded for completing missions like destroying a convoy but destroying a real player will bring more rewards.

Last thing before a wrap it up is just a bunch of positives this could bring. First people want a long range sniper map well now you can. Second you want a close quarters map well drive to the middle where this is the city. Third you want to fly CAS well you actually have to try now and the rewards would be increased for this.
