How to dogfight EF

I just wanted to start this off saying Ik that the EF/typhoon/Rafeal is the best dog fighter.

But (and this is a very big but) how would I bet it in the merge with the F16C? There has to be a speed or an advantage the Viper has to win or at least put up a fight. IK i won’t win all fights but it has to be possible, ill take any advice for Sim and RB. Missiles and no missiles.

I’ve beaten my freind playing it once with the F14A by fully sweeping the wings out going slow enough to wipe the nose around vertically on the merge and catch them early before i stalled and nearly fell outa the sky.

Mathematically speaking, it is impossible to beat the EF with an F-16 in a dogfight

So this is my only chance of wining? Is there nothing else I can do. That definitely seems balanced then lol.

In a static world where both pilots are of the same skill? You don’t beat the EF or Rafale in a dog fight with an F-16C.

In War Thunder though, not all pilots are of the same skill in a match, so sometimes you’ll win, sometimes you’ll lose due to the pilot skill levels.

you can maybe try to full for a overshoot cause f16 can bleed lots of speed quickly, but if you fumble it you will lose cause it takes a long time to make the speed back. The Eurofighter is kinda broken because you can gain all your speed back in a instant

Most of the dogfights are in sim so it is hard to guess the speed they are when there behind me. This really sucks though I feel like there needs to be a chance for the F16C to win. I mean it is 20 years older but that just doesn’t seem balanced imho.

Yeah I mostly DF in sim which I get my butt handed to me when I fight the eurofighter.

My suggestion would be to airbrake before the merge and full send as hard as you can. EF2000 has very good p/w and they might be going too fast to turn into you then.

Ok, will the US ever get a competitive aircraft to the Eurofighter and Rafael in sim. I feel like they are the best in sim because they are so well rounded.

I dunno what the future holds, maybe the EF2000 will get nerfed (which it deserves lol)

In terms of a dog fight, the USA doesn’t really have one.

I mean the F-22 but that should kill anything before the merge and the F15 STOL/MTD was armed which could be cool to see.

F-22 can’t beat the EF in a dog fight, and it’s already been documented. Same goes for the F-35.

Their strength lies in advanced stealth, avionics, and ending the fight before detection.

I mean all I know of was the Rafeal vs 22 and that was one test. I feel like the 22 would be about the same in game.
Also yeah the F35 would suck in a DF.

Not suck but not great
It has similar performane as f16 in low dpeed so it can beat flankers and such

F-15E is in the game, not the best dogfighter, but very very good in terms of performance and missiles
