I’m trying to get the BP achievement of destroying 10 ships with small bombs.
So far I managed to kill 4, but also wasted my bombs (and plane) on standard ai ships which don’t count.
But it’s not possible to tag a ship with a plane in Naval (at least I can’t)
How do I find out which ship is a real player and which is a bot?
Second questions for the game developers…
Why do ai gunners on planes don’t revert back to standard position while AI gunners on ships DO revert to standard position? Could you change this also for plane AI gunners? Thanks in advance.

Maybe I wasn’t clear, but I want to determine (AND TAG) the real players IN the game while I’m flying.
I know how to find real players in the stats.
You cant “tag them” (in the sense of marking them) but if you open the multi-function menu with someone targeted, the option at the bottom (I think its set to 7 by default) will tell you the targets name and ship type, if close enough, it will tell you exactly what ship they are in. The only option for finding “real” players is to cycle through them all, checking each one using the MFM, though you do get a sense quite quickly as to who is a bot and who is real
But from an aircraft, its impossible, just need to look for the outlyers

T1-7, and then check the ID, normally Bots ID looks pretty regular with personal name
Hmm, while everything is already basically said, you could either team up with someone or request other players to call out player vessels for your bombing runs, although GL getting close if above BR 3.7…

Don’t know about naval, but in air rb and ground rb, hover over their name, if a pfp is shown then they are most likely actually players.(Since this happens in two game modes, i am assuming this also happens in naval) Also there name look very simple and small and usually are not a part of any squadron

Will try the things you said.
At the moment I’m using the B26 (US and France) and Do217.
Those are the only rank 3 (and above) bombers suitable for the job.
If you guys know other effective options, please tell.
They need a bombload with bombs less than 120kg and must be rank 3 or higher.
Italian bomber is crap. Steers like a mammoth tanker.
Bf110 needs to be close to have any effect. But by then you’re already dead.
They usually don’t spam their secondaries unlike bots
Standing completely still is also a strong clue

You could try doing the task in naval arcade. Names are always shown there and bots can be easily spotted as soon as they spawn in. It’s how I did the torpedo task last BP
