How to deselect float plane (naval)

Whenever I use a floatplane, when I come back to the ship I can’t get the UI to deselect and the launch path indicator stays up. How do I get off this mode?

EDIT: When there’s multiple. If it’s the last one then this doesn’t happen of course.

By defaut, floatplane can be deployed using the key “U”.
Press Alt+U to hide the launch pattern

I had my binds effed up.
