I’ve installed the UHQ textures. How can i activate them on Game settings. Does it works on dx 11 or just dx12
The DX versions doesn’t matter for the texture quality, but it will likely effect how well your game runs with those higher quality textures. Many get way better performance on DX12 but it does come with the risk of game crashes for some players (i personally have never had any issues with it but some others have issues frequently so better to just test for yourself and se how well it runs). How you activate the higher quality textures depends on if you’re using steam or the regular standalone launcher.
In steam you right click the game → properties → DLC and make sure that the high-res texture packs are selected.
In the launcher you can select it in the bottom right just above the “play” button. Select the type of client you want to have downloaded and what quality to have installed.
To then have higher quality appear in the game you start the game, click menu (the three lines top left in the hangar) → options → graphics (top left) and under the quality section you change “texture quality” to high. That’s it :)
Then you can play around with the other settings as well to see if there are any that you want higher or lower and to see how they affect the fps as well. A tip is to go into a test drive to see how things look and you are also able to change the graphics options in there as well by pressing esc → options.
