Here’s a picture of a Merkava Mk4 front hull armor IRL. I dont see any NERA here and it doesn’t look like a 3 materials composition. The armor seems to be 200-300mm thick, not 170mm as it is presented in the game. What do you think about it?
It seems to be the same size; and please, if you have any official report or other public source, send it to the CBRS, which, considering it’s a Merkava mk. 4, I doubt you’ll find anything else but some media claiming “Best MBT ever created” or something like that.
I doubt any mental sane tank designer would leave composite materials completely open without sealing it, specially for the mechanical parts hatch, with high temperatures, and in the case of the Merkava mk. 4, the spot designed to receive direct impact from projectiles.
Just trying to make the problem more, how to say, notable… Till they’ll ever fix something ill be in the army watching Merkavas all day. I know the Israeli composites are a joke in the game. They are so soft that I can use them as my own bed.
