How player skill with SPAA effects the CAS problem

Or maybe one of us is straight dishonest.

You want to prove your point? I give you 48 hours to post 10 replays with 5 planes on the same team in the air or more.

This not a proof, just your opinion and assumption.

No amount of proof will ever convince SPAA players.

The only game mode where is easier to play SPAA than planes is SBGF. Plying SPAA is just dirty. In RBGF planes have much easier time than SPAA.

I can’t fly?

My stats in planes prove something else

He is the guy you called top 1% player. It’s his video I linked. It’s him who killed 6 people under 5 minutes in the F4U-4B.

Read the killfeed.

Third person view for planes contributes so much to the issue we’re facing in WT. It makes tracers more of a benefit to planes than SPAA. Normally the plane wouldn’t usually see them unless the shots are directly in front of them.

It also gives them insane battle field awareness and oversight.

  1. Spawn tanks - intercept and kill AAs
  2. Just completely useless advice for a large chunk of the game where problems can get even worse.

Good luck doing those in a AA that’s as big as a house itself.

This reeks of low tier gameplay advice.

Pretty dense from someone that isn’t even close to reaching 2 K/D with his AAs.

I’d like for you to count how many CAP planes and SPAA spawned to shoot him down.

What can you even begin to spawn when a guy shows up with a plane 2 MINUTES into the match and already killed 4 of your players before 4 minutes pass.

Also there was a wirbelwind. It couldn’t touch him because he actually flew with a brain and went up to 1 km altitude where gun SPAA can’t touch you if you don’t fly in a lazy slow straight line.

You are expecting too much, the average CAS relies on the insane gun dispersion many AAs including modern ones suffer from in War Thunder to keep them safe even when flying straight tat targets.

Deflection and cherry picking? They’re all valid criticism of your points. Especially in top tier matches the maps don’t give you cover (that’s big enough for a vehicle the size of a house) or freedom of movement (because you can easily shoot into most spawns). Not to mention roof top mgs, yeah sure. The MG3 on my Leopard can’t even hurt a fly if it landed in the barrel.

  • Nobody spawn spaa because the reward for shooting down jets/planes/helis are to low.

  • Top tier spaa require no skill then something is wrong because I should able clear sky with Pantsir and have around 6 kills against jets instead i get one kill and 2 missile killing me once
I spawn my spaa after 3 min.

  • CAS units SP depend on the loadout and BR is not clear imbalance then everybody would spawn CAS in two min after first cap.

  • Remove spaa for the losing team so players can’t grind they modules for they spaa and stuck with stock version.

  • I would agree with ULQ _Lover reply do you.

Yes, that’s maddening, watching a plane fly by without turning, firing at it point-blank, from the front and rear, and still not getting a single shot off. It seems like every SPAA with radar has one from the 1950s.

There was not a single valid criticism. I don’t agree with everything he said, but everything that came from CAS haters was complete and utter BS.

Radars in Warthunder are actually far too accurate, especially early ones like the M163 and the ZSU-23.

Yes, the VADS radar was actually quite bad, while the Shilka’s radar was somewhat better. If the game is realistic, I expect those two models in particular to be somewhat bad at locking onto and shooting down aircraft at high speed (the more modern Shilka is not), but the fact that the same thing happens to the Marksman or the ZA-35 suggests to me that either they’ve made all the radars equally bad, or they’ve added a random factor so that the SPAAs don’t shoot down as many aircraft, even though you’re facing aircraft with guided missiles and rockets launched with a ballistic calculator.

Oerlikons and some other auto guns have absolute insane gun dispersion. It’s not just the radar. They work closer to shotguns at times which is why they’re better at destroying tanks than CAS. Which is hilarious given IRL they’re insanely accurate.

It’s also why any SPAA with proxy does so much better.

I’ve also noticed something strange, with the Chieftain Marksman often landing hits that only register light damage, they’re not critical or anything, when they’re 35mm HE shells.

Can you read actually?

You are telling me that the average player cannot spawn a reserve tank and drive the closest capture point?

Damn, insane skill to wait in the air, see red dot on the map/capture point blink red, drop bomb and press S.
And do not tell me aiming a bomb is hard, just spend 10-30 minutes practicing in the test range and you’ll be able to drop a bomb with at least 5m accuracy, considering that a 1000lb bomb can destroy target in a 7m range, that’s more than enough.

If you practice more, with the 3rd person view, you can achieve sub 1m precise drop.

Actually, even in full simulator in IL-2:GB I can drop bomb with enough accuracy to target a moving tank. It’s not a hard thing man.

One would believe that @Pangolin_Fan and @WanouMars have a gift that allows them to hit a target flying 500kph tangentially to them. A sort of built in aim-assist
Too bad it doesn’t reflect in their stats, I really wonder why is that?

Suppositly, they have such a good aim that they can destroy a plane jinking at 3km with a insane relative velocity but their stat in SPAA are just average.
