Rocket only helis rushers and missileless Su-25s are sooo OP.
Yes, CAS is bluntly broken in Ground RB. You defend CAS, I think, because you play CAS. But why do you even play air in Ground mode, I think, because you are (CAS players) bad at tanks and air mode or/and you want to get some advantage and some EASY FREE KILLS (very close to cheaters), most of players can’t do nothing to you. And I despise it. But CAS without SPAA would be real cheating, so devs added SPAA with incredibly boring gamplay and zero awards, and now CAS players have excuses why CAS isn’t broken, “jUsT sPaWn sPAa”, “if SPAA killed by CAS, it’s SPAA skill issue” and etc. But in the end, everyone who wants to play tanks suffers, because this game has no real competition.
so the increased spawn points for atgms, the new spawn point system, newer better spaas etc just never happend cope harder buddy
I defend CAS because CAS haters are completely and utterly insane. Missileless Su-25 and rocket rushing cobra are both incredibly weak. You literally watched the Su-25 blow up after getting a single kill and claimed it’s overpowered.
The fact that you’re trying to claim that they’re OP just cuz you died to em once is just insane.
Lol, the dumb new SP system that no one asked for and everyone wants cancelled was not Gajin listening to CAS haters. If Gajin listened to CAS haters, then all CAS would be 1,000sp+, locked to full real controls, with no allied markers, spawning from an airfield 20 miles away.
Looking at the thread, most of the commenters share a certain demographic qualifier that also correlates to people who in sim try to push for PvE lobbies.
If anything, it’s incriminating of CAS players thant the inverse.
When Gajin announced the dumb SP change, there were triple the amount of users in the forum going against it, than there were CAS haters.
CAS haters are the minority. Gajin knows it, normal people know it, but for some reason CAS haters deny it and get angry when you point it out.
I’ll take this here if you don’t mind, i think it’s more appropriate
It is true if you aim at something you don’t know the position of, but for a SPAA you just need to peek a bit to see where it is, then set up the marker, and lob your bomb. The lower and the close you are, the less reaction time.
Just outranging SPAAs isn’t going to work anymore, besides, your problem with the buk was multipath, a phenomenom only occuring down low, so i fail to see your point
it is true against everything, to gain LOS to a target in that condition you need to be at that altitude, and you are suggesting tossing GPS guided bombs which you also need altitude to allow them to travel far enough to hit a target
I was responding to where you claimed that an increase in multipath height for BUK and similar SAMs would make planes untouchable, hence I responded by arguing that a plane can not consistently stay at that low of an altitude and have any game impact
Well you could just bomb toss tbh.
Now some glide bombs or missile can even get to range without that much of an altitude (KH38, AASM, Gbu39s)
Point is, a Rafale, Su30 or F15 shouldn’t be able to fly high in plain sight and throw its AASM / KH38 / Gbu39 unconstested like it has been the case for far too long now.
Ok, i see your point, still on a flat map, i currently think that as you said, BUK will be quite busted in regards to multipath compared to CAMM and Aster. I think getting rid of multipath for those 3 (and all ARH SAM in general) would at least make them balanced against each other, while making multiptath higher would just not make them top tier worthy (like fox 1 and fox 3 becoming deterrent weapons instead of actual threats when MP height was 100m in air RB)
Note that increasing multipath would also not solve the BUK advantage in that regard, because of the higher trigger radius anyway.
I am what you would consider a “CAS Player” and i am better in tanks than you, now what ?
Maybe someday, after 10k games, I’ll get tired of tanks and become a filthy CAS player too.
Or even better, you become a player which understands how to play GRB.
It’s their fault that they resort to insults and get reported, not ours.
its not an us/them issue, and banter shouldnt be grounds for reporting
yes. its what i do in a cromwell, fox or CVRT. however the fact that i can spawn a fully laden CAS plane from a capture and maybe a scout is blatantly overpowered.
air gets its own solo mode, give naval and ground one too
that’s because air combat, historically, is the only one that ground and naval vehicles can’t influence.
A plane can swoop down on ships and tanks.
Ships and tanks cannot fly up to where planes are.
anti aircraft guns have existed for almost as long as military use for aircraft have
Yes, sacred knowledge
But I think my 58.77% GRB win rate isn’t that bad
Even if you’re good at grb/air, you can play CAS because it gives you an advantage over tanks.
CAS is a finger and tanks are ants. Not really fun to be an ant in this situation.
And like i said, SPAA gameplay is boring poorly rewarded
