planes are always expert, tanks it doesn’t matter as much soo only if I have sl laying around which isn’t often
I never ace stuff because it’s unreasonably expensive to do so (and it takes 300+matches if you aren’t earning tons of RP).
I’ll only expert stuff if it’s at low tier, or something I know I will play a lot at high tier. I mostly regret experting my EF2000 and Mig-19S because I don’t like playing either of them, and the extra 1m SL I used could be used elsewhere. It’s just a waste unless I will play it for 200+ matches.
(I hate this 405 Error)
The crew system, along with the modules, is the dumbest thing they could’ve added to WT. It should be the player that makes the difference — all crews should have the same G-force resistance and other stats, so the only thing that matters is the vehicle and how it’s used. But of course, Gaijin only cares about monetizing.
Anyway, I only use ‘Expert’ and maybe have 2 or 3 Aces on a few vehicles I really love, like the F-14
How to deal with Israeli crews?
I’m thinking about buying the 1000GE acceleration training for 4 crews but idk if that would be enough to expert their initial tanks.
I only expert WW2 Stuff because anything above it is just to expensive unless i am really playing that Vehicle a lot.
A free Ace i have only grinded on the 99A. Costs like 1.400.000RP to get an free Ace on a Top Tier Tank btw…and only the RP you get on that Vehicle in the Match counts.
EDIT:
Oh bro, you only need lvl 30 crew slots for the first M-51. You would only need to use a couple/few batches of 100 GE’s to get to lvl 30. Not anywhere close to needing 1k GE’s just to get to lvl 30 👍

It will only take 300 GE’s per crew slot to get to lvl 30. The AMX-13 might be slightly higher crew level requirement, but it will not take 1k GE’s.

Original message:
More crew slot info. Doesn't matter as much since you only need crew lvl 30 for the initial Israeli tanks:
So, hover over and see exactly what crew level you need to get Expert training. If it is fairly low, like level 30 to 50, you might not need 1,000 GE’s to get it that high. I have also found that the Google AI does a pretty good job of answering questions like this.
Here is the link to the wiki if you want to work out exactly how many points it will take you.

If I remember correctly, I think that 1,000 GE’s gets you to level 50 or something in ground.
Yeah, AI says absolute max possible with 1k GE’s is lvl 50, IF you put points into the cheapest thing, not putting points into the “best” places:
(This might be lower than possible, it was looking at putting points to keep the “levels” even, not putting points into the absolute cheapest option.)

Imo, this is a perfectly acceptable way to spread the points around if your only goal is to get expert training immediately, which I 100% agree with. The bonus you get from expert training more than makes up for putting some points into non optimal areas for that specific crew slot.
You would only need to use more than 1k GE’s if the vehicle you want to put into a crew slot has to be over level 51 for its Expert training.
For tanks i never but expert or ace since i have no SL left due to me buying a new vehicle almost every week. So far never felt the need to buy expert or ace of them
For jets, I buy them. Almost all of my top tier jets have expert crew except for legacy and super hornet since they are not terrible to play with base crew
I’m going to test this out today, AI is likely to hallucinate with niche cases, but 1000GE could be in fact an overkill. I’ll be back with details :)
I Upgrade only these which I like, so this was a bit more expensive SL wise, next to the Tornado SLE is also the Tiger UHT which also has Ace Crew
I tested this out!
M-51 need only 25 lvl crew for an expert.
Accelerated training for 200 GE gave me +37 levels so should be enough for 7.0 and 7.7 expert crews too :)
Now I can focus on actual useful skills like reloading, leadership and repairing.
