That wouldn’t save the vehicle, at its core it’s a dedicated anti helicopter platform, which would be fine btw, if Sweden had literally anything else to back it up, but t all it has is a dogshit marksmen spaa that’s better used as an anti vehicle platform.
Ironically we could get the Finnish zsu-57-2m which gives the platform a radar systems and most importantly, he-vt rounds.
Except this thing isn’t even a good anti-heli platform. Even other anti-heli platforms at the same BR outclass it entirely. The rapier has 8 ready missiles and 850m/s with a longer max range. Even the awful Roland has longer range, 3x the turret rotation and 1/3 the reload time. And lets not even bring up how the M247 and PGZ09 prox AA are both better at 9.0 at both anti-heli and anti-plane.
To be fair the Rapier should be 10.0.
Yes the M247 and PGZ09 are very lethal against both aircraft and helis, but their effective range is shorter – roughly 3/4km.

It is true that the missile is quite iffy when it comes to damage, but you get 8 shots (16 in total) and (like you said) you can actually land hits against most aware planes, unlike with the Roland’s or LVRBV 701’s.
It’s why you would see tons of Rapiers at 9.7 Squadron Battles but never the Rolands or LVRBV 701s.
