How is the F-84G 7.7 material?

This plane, for its intended purpose, is barely better than the 7.0 F-84B that it “replaces”. The only advantage that it offers is that it has an airspawn, which the 7.0 F-84B also does.

It may have a supposedly fast top speed, but its acceleration is very slow and it has no flight performance at all.

Weaponry of 6x 12.7 M3 is standard; nothing to write home about.

I knew this was your post when I saw the title of this.

Because it’s fast and has an airspawn. It should lose its airspawn and stay at 7.7 in my opinion.

I’d argue that it’s could be undertiered because of its airspawn, because it isn’t balanced to give one of the fastest planes at its BR a free altitude and speed advantage over planes that aren’t as fast, and can’t climb as well.

It’s a nice bomber hunter, specially when it has air spawn and good engine balues makes it one of the easiest planes to get in high altitudes.

What do you think F-84G’s ‘intended purpose’?

I’m going to be honest, I agree with you here. I got the Italian F-84G and it is HORRIBLE. I hate it so much I stopped playing it. Only thing it can do is ground pound.

i knew who it would be before I saw the name

YOU PLAY ON A PHONE GETTING THE GAME STREAMED TO IT BRO

yea. its an early jet very fast but takes its time to get there. don’t get slow in them they are Boom-n-Zoom only aircraft if you’re not bomber hunting.

It might seem crazy what i’m about to say-

Play it as a heavy fighter, all your problems are solved, stop using it as an attaker.

it doesnt need to lose airspawn, it would then lose the only reason to play it atm, it doesn’t have real advantages once the game is developed, it just has this early game rush niche

Honestly I have no idea. I have never been outran by an F-84G in my F-80A-5

slow to accelerate but does actually pull pretty good G’s, issue is most ppl bring it with far too many bombs/rockets to experience this typically. The air spawn makes it incredibly strong.

just keep your speed up and at tier your one of fastest and can turn excellent 11-12g

It may have a supposedly fast top speed, but its acceleration is very slow and it has no flight performance at all.

Compared to the F-84B’s Allison J35-A-15 engine:

The F-84G’s J35-A-29 gets a considerable speed and acceleration upgrade by nearly +1500lbs of thrust (converted kgf)

I’d argue the F-84G may be up there for one of the fastest straight-winged jets at its BR and in the game alone. It’s still not enough to outrun or dogfight as well as the swept-winged contemporaries like the MiG-15 or F-86 Sabre, but using its strike fighter airspawn makes it pretty good for a BnZ playstyle since you already have an altitude advantage over enemy planes and can easily intercept bombers just like with the F-84B.

It has a high top speed for it’s BR, and decent manoeuvrability too.

Which is why it should lose it’s airspawn, because no plane is entitled to a permanent altitude and speed advantage, especially at the tier where those are both incredibly important and hard to get. I shouldn’t be forced to never have any altitude or speed advantage if I’m playing 7.0-8.0.
