No, it doesn’t? It’s agility is subpar and if it does ever actually try to utilize the midling, mediocre agility it has, it will go to 400kph.
The top speed is also VERY mediocre as of late since they downtiered the F86 and MiG15, whom are common opponents.
There is no permanent advantage. You also have failed to provide any intelligent reasoning as to why this somehow means the F-84G should lose its singular niche it has.
And those aren’t the other 7.3/7.7 planes it very regularly faces. Good luck facing a not idiotic F-84G player in a Su-11/Mig-9, because neither of those can easily catch it.
At the start of every single match, it will always have the altitude and speed advantage, when it really doesn’t need them.
I also hate how even good 7.3/7.7 planes are ruined because F-84G players somehow think they should get an airspawn, when almost nothing else does. It’s also made worse by nearly every single 7.0-7.7 match including 7.7/8.0 planes, and it makes for a truly awful experience if you’re not in an OP aircraft.
both russian jets mentioned can easily catch a f84 that makes small mistakes in pathing. They aren’t far removed in speed range and the su11 has far better accel.
Which does not translate to permanent with the F84’s poor climb rate/accel/retention.
You’re just advocating killing off the f84g for no benefit for anybody else just so we’re clear. The Su-11 would still be present and ruins far more than the F-84G does. F-84G is very avoidable when its doing its early game strafes and once the early game is over, so is this plane’s niche. It then becomes a very mid bnz jet
All the F-84G has to do is fly straight and not turn hard and they won’t be killed by almost anything at or below their BR that isn’t another F-84, a diving plane, or an La-200. The Mig-9 late tops out at about 70kmh lower than the F-84G, but it can turn better at the cost of much worse energy retention.
It’s energy retention is not terrible, and it climbs at 33 m/s, which is better than the Mig-9 Late (30m/s at best, and it drops off at altitude), and Su-11. Even the decent J29A only climbs at the same rate, but that has a ground spawn, and loses a lot of engine power at altitude. It has a permanent advantage at the start of the game, and that allows it to be good throughout. It’s like how the Xp-50 or Wyvern are only OP with their airspawns.
Removing it’s airspawn will not kill it. It will be weaker, but it won’t be completely awful.
You think this gives the F-84 immunity but go on to say the massive speed advantage given is 70kph over the MiG-9, which is not the fastest jet you have to worry about either.
It is very terrible.
You have a quirky interpretation of the word “permanent” when one can equalize energy within a few minutes of the match starting.
Yes. It will, considering this is the only niche it holds onto currently. It is an ASS vehicle when groundspawned.
The difference is, is that the Mig-9 doesn’t get a free +2km and +450kmh speed advantage at the very start. It also isn’t as fast in a dive afaik.
Which means it is a permanent advantage at the start, and a decent player is able to use that to keep thata advantage throughout the whole match.
And it deserves to have a ground spawn. If an Me-262, or A29 can be ground spawned, so can the F-84G.
That single plane unironically has killed any hope I have ever had of having fun between 7.0 and 8.0. It’s unbelievably unfair how one of the best 7.7 planes also gets an airspawn at the BR where altitude and speed means everything.
Okay and how exactly does this disprove the claim?
As the F84G in takeoff vs in the air are very different, when taking off its acceleration is not good however once past 300-350km/h it gets very good acceleration.
As shown the upgrade in engine provides a massive boost in performance compared to the F84B, allowing it to outspeed, outaccelerate and outclimb and majority of 7.0-7.7br jets.
Yes it should, F84G, F84B, and other strike aircraft like the F3D, Me262 jabo, Me 262 a1/u1 should lose their airspawn. The airspawn provides a significant advantage that is unfair to other jets as they not only have an altitude advantage but also a speed advantage that allows them to gain a significant energy advanatge over the battlefield once both sides meet. I’ve played all these planes before they had airspawns and after, and the airspawn does not make sense for all planes mentioned didn’t make sense when introduced and doesn’t make sense now.
Either way the F84G with the airspawn is so unbalanced as already there is no adequate way for many 7.0-7.3br jets to catch a competent F84G pilot unless he makes a big mistake, and the airspawn just adds to that problem. The F84G gets not only the speed advantage, acceleration advantage, but also a large altitude advantage.
i never had an issue against that plane tbh. It’s atrocious at anything that is not running. The guns suck, the damage model sucks, the acceleration sucks, the maneuvering sucks, the climbrate sucks, the bombload sucks, the energy retention sucks and it’s not even that fast compared to other 7.7 and higher aircraft. And yes, I’ve spaded it already.
maybe there is pretty much no reason why you should get slow in jets… and its a great plane when you do not try to turnfight, just stay fast and take headons with it… had a 7 or 8kill game with the thai one…
It does not accelerate better than most sub 8.0 planes, as you can see from this sample.
It’s at the bottom of the curve until it hits 800kph, then it can actually out-accelerate other 7.7s and make its relatively high top speed work for you. However even a j29a will keep up with you and eventually overtake you because of its higher top speed. It’s acceleration is definitely not its strong point, the relatively high top speed can be useful for escaping from slower jets or storing up energy to engage in energy traps etc. but you’re really reliant on conserving your energy in fights or you will be in trouble.
That is good information, but none of the planes shown have an airspawn, which is the main reason why the F-84G is so oppressive. I do think that the J29A would be the better plane if both had an airfield spawn/airspawn, but currently only one does, and it makes facing it unfair.
Dodge the F-84G once and the air spawn energy advantage goes out of the window. It’s when they work as a team while keeping speed that they become insanely strong.
Not how that works at all… You can reset the fight by diving but the F-84G isn’t obligated to follow you. This is like saying the A6M just needs to dodge the P-47 once then he can disregard the P-47s massive energy advantage. The F-84G airspawns and therefore starts at an energy surplus relative to the enemy and this won’t equalize until an enemy reaches the F-84G’s altitude and speed
