Thinking of starting the grind on US after finishing GER/RU and not sure what to pick up, tigershark looks like the best plane from what I can tell, and its something unique you cant get in the TT so thats a plus.
F4S looks alright but I hear the radar kinda blows since its not all aspect? 12.7 seems like a terrible BR to be stuck with sparrows in an uptier so im not sure about the f18? F5C seems kinda powercrept and according to statshark 10.7 is the worst BR for getting uptiers besides 12.7 and 13.0.
So how is the tigershark after getting moved down?
All of the USA rank 6+ premium Fighters (yes, all of them) are still incredibly strong.

F-4 radar all kinda suck yeah
No…? they are consistently some of the strongest radars at their given BRs.
I often get LOOK DOWN attacks in F-4E and even have gotten radar missile kills on people WHILE I WAS MULTIPATHING THEIR MISSILE. People who whine about F-4E radar quality are just dog whistling that they don’t know how to manage radars :<

You don’t really need all aspect RADAR at the BR. Almost every time you use an AIM-7F, it’ll be on a headon target. And the RADAR is entirely capable of locking non-headon targets, it’s just less reliable. That’s what your AIM-9Hs are for anyways.
The F-20 is a far better dogfighter, but that tends to matter less at this BR. Especially when you get uptiered into F-16s which are just going to dumpster you anyways. You also get far less missiles (Especially if you want to bring AIM-7Fs), and it’s way more expensive due to being a higher tier despite the fact that there’s nothing in game currently that the F-4S can’t effectively research.
My friend has been grinding out the F-4J (Which is effectively a slightly worse F-4S at the same BR), and has been having a great time with it. My tendency would be to suggest that.
But wait for a sale. No high tier premium is worth the money they ask for.

And considering F-4S as plan B, not the F-4E.
Further discussing about F-4E will cause nothing but derailment as long as OP want to choose which premium jet he should buy.
Ya im just looking at premiums for the summer sale in like 2 weeks? Just looking at rank 7/8 US kinda leaning towards f20 but wanted to hear what ppl think because pretty much all the reviews happened when it was 12.7.
all of the us rank 7-8 prem fighters are great for the battle ratings they sit at
i played the f20 when the f18 was released then i played the 12.3 f18 until i spaded it a few days ago i think
right now its MM is kinda bad and you end up at 13.0 most of the time, the f20 is not bad but not great either i just say is “balanced”
