How is the Challenger 2 a 11.7

Seriously how is this tank such a high battle rating.

It has mediocre firepower. mobility and giant weak spots in its armour,

Compare it to the M1A1 at 11.3 M1A1 has it beat in mobility, armour and firepower.

Russian T-90A at 11.0. Better armor. about equal mobility. slightly higher armour penetration on its round for a slightly worse rate of fire. All in all slight advantage to the T-90A and its 0.7 BR lower.

Are you suggesting they…fix NATO tanks??

Britian tax. Most of our vehicles are at least 0.3 higher than they would be if they were on any other tree.

Whats worse, They refuse to fix the Challenger 2 as well:

that’s a lot of work and fix’s.

Would be nice long term but I’m taking about more short term solution. Giving it a battle rating commensurate with its current in game performance,

Yeah, but then Gaijin would have to admit there is a problem. They seem to just be sticking their heads in the sand and pretending the Chally 2 doesnt exist.

Ive given up with top tier again. I just dont play any higher than 10,3. I thought the Sky Sabre might be worth playing top tier again, but its too buggy to be worth the effort

not really armour but definitely the other two

Survivability might be the better word. As i’ve seen mroe than a few survive a hit that would 100% gurantee one shot the CR2.

Though also in a 1v1 fight, the L27A1 might not pen the Abrams. But the Abram’s shell will pretty much pen the CR2 anyway. So it does feel like the Abrams has much better armour

Pretty sure L27 will go through the turret face of the 11.3 M1A1 while the CR2 turret face can stop M829A2. Yeah the survivability will be better, and would make for a tradeoff if they were both the same BR, mobility and firepower vs protection.

I’ve been one shot through the gun breach by the 10.7 Abrams with its 105mm Gun. Let alone the one with the 120mm gun.

The cheeks on the CR2 are the only part of the tank with enough protection to do anything, but then just aim for the 2 foot wide hole between the turret cheeks for a near guaranteed one shot.

I’ve had L27A1 fail to pen the gun breach on an Abrams before and I dont think i’ve ever penned the turret cheeks.

Yeah survivability is a better word.

Challenger gets those very thick turret cheeks but huge weak spots elsewhere.

M1A1 has much more all over protection. While both are likely to die to high pen APDSFS shots the M1A1 will at least survive spray and pray attacks from autocannons like the Puma/BMP/Freccia which can go straight through the giant unprotected sections on the front of challenger
