How is the 8.7 matchmaker for air?

best one is defo the 8.0 one. Also me being good ish at the game doesnt excuse for bad balance. So what if my stats are good in the mig15bis.

At a certain point it means you are removing variance and beginning to have impact on your matches, even in up tiers.

could you try out the mig17 if you can for a while ? Then tell me any tips that could be helpful for the current matchamker. You seem like a good player id love to learn from you

I played 8 games like, last week.

Honestly it isnt much different than the bis, just have to play a little differently in the up tiers (not letting planes with fuck you missile behind you) (so just playing a little more passive)

Just conserve energy, pick fights, and try to have good impact on the matches.

I can play like, 10-15 games when i get home i suppose. Though ill probably be “bad” since its been a while with the guns.

My main problem is the speed. When uptiered (which is msot of the time) people can just outrun you which is bad not only bc enemies can run away and also bc teamates just reach enemies before you do. I have had times where I am on a dive to someone and the guy that turn later than me gets to him first and kills the enemy.

such is the way in uptiers. You can only do so much.

in the 17, i usually get kills mid to late
vs
in f2 sabre, i get kills early all the way into late

If i feel like playing it, ill play maybe few games. We’ll see

Is the sabre just better

Eh, depends on who you ask. It just rewards how i play better than the 17 does. Mostly, because the 17 needs more lead than the F2 does. F2 needs way less time on target than the 17 does in most cases.

alright. I think I had enough wt for today. Ill try to see what I can do tomorrow.

The solution is straightforward:

For every uptier match, there should be a guaranteed downtier match, or the matchmaking bracket should be reduced to ±0.7BR.

I wish I saw 8.7 more with my Hunter F.6. 9.7 is such a crappy BR spread, you see most of the time 10.3. Last week I played 8 matches in my F.6, and all of them were uptiers with 5 being full uptiers to 10.7.
I’m already at a BR where 70% of the planes I face can outrun me, its hard to actually get into a position to use the SRAAMs and you face a lot of vehicles with flares, the nations you face tend to get flares at 9.7 + while Britain only really gets flares on three aircraft at the 9.0 - 10.0 area (Harrier Gr.3, Jaguar GR.1A and Buccaneer S.2). So here I am, a slow ass subsonic plane, facing off against the constant onslaught of F-104s, Mig-21s and the early Mig-23s as well as Alpha Jets and the first set of Mirages as well. If I fight in a even a slight downtier where I see 9.3 and 9.0 aircraft I do relatively well, the Hunter can still keep pace with the majority of aircraft at that BR range, but 9.7+ is now where you see aircraft that outperform you like crazy. I would happily give up my SRAAMs to just TWO of them for a decrease to 9.3.
Or give me flares, Gaijin gave the F-5 flares it never had, so give the Hunter F.6 some love in that regard.

Refused from official side.

Bad balance is a 8.3 plane able to slap every single 7.3 with ease.

am having the same issue with the mig17 rn. Even when uptiered I can kill everything in a dogfight but the plane itself struggles to get into position bc everything outruns me

i got bored of playing the 17, but it seems to play just as it did when i played a bit 6 months ago or something

How was is uptier wise

i had like 2 or something

Wuhdafuhk? “SAAB-105A(7.0)” with AIM-9Bs?

I guess a new plane just showed up on the Swedish tree while I slept and spaded the M4A2

unless u mean the SK60B

which has MCLOS Rb05A, and 30mm guns…I wouldn’t call it extraordinary

Things are only bad once you see the big power creep that starts 9.3+ mostly. Thats why 8.0 is best to play or the op 10.3 stuff rn

Are you sure you replied to the right thing ?
