We have the button to overwrite AOE limits, but whats with Limits the jet sets you when you dont have it on?
The Eurofighter IRL is limited to 7g when over Mach 1 and 9g under. Obviously that would be disabled with the AOE button but why is this not there in normal matches?
Also whats with FCS override from the Jet?
Would be cool for Sim as a setting
With the limiter off the main thing that stops the plane turning faster is built in hard limits that can’t be overridden. Basically all modern jets have some automatic systems that hold the plane stable when flying, without that system the plane would be impossible to fly and would flip backwards in just a few seconds.
Here is a video of the JAS39A during development where the automated system fails (time stamped to 2:17 where the error occurs and the pilot is forced to eject):
The second thing is physics, a plane can only turn as fast as the forces generated will allow for the weight of the aircraft (one thing missing here that War Thunder cannot currently model with the current game-engine is unstable aircraft that would flip backwards if they had no computer to hold them stable).
If you are asking what the button overrides then it’s programmed limits that are put in place as safeguards. So for example that the pilot doesn’t accidentally pull to much g forces and destroy the plane mid air because the wings can’t handle the forces or accidentally pull more then 9g and faint.
This is already a thing, you can change SAS (Stability Augmentation System) mode through key bind. “manual” has no computer assist, “dampening” there is computer assist. Though i don’t think it turns it completely off as the plane would be uncontrollable without it.

No for example if the EF would go into stall speed it automatically overrides pilot input and levels out and accelerates back to a save speed
