Hard to tell what is going on. If the missile is above a certain angle, it will limit the effect of multipath. This is because the missile will have to fly within fuse range to reach the multipath image.
It has been happening to me multiple times as well
while I’m flying Su-27SM, going over mach 1.10 forward, and then it hits me from front and destroys radar, parts or plane
flying forward and seeing it launch at me, and go sideways at fast speed, while rotating my plane so I leave less of a chance for hit, and it still hits
and sometimes even going back upon seeing that missile, but it explodes behind me exactly and damages my plane
gaijin should implement area of explosion and speed of explosion, so we won’t have to deal with this BS, but knowing gaijin and their love to buff US stuff, or even the simple fact that this will make them re-work all explosions and their damage model in-game

From the time i posted this i died 4 times flying below 30m from AIM120B… chaff, notch, below 60m nothing is helping
- don’t fly straight and too low. You see it comes headon, so even if it hits ground you get damaged by the explosion.
- if you see the missile, fly above 60m and then dive a little bit, so the missile hits ground far away because of lead.
Depend if shooter fire from perfect lunch conditions (fast and high alt) there very high chance multipath won’t work
It why AMRAAM from F-15E before nerf are very deadly when it fire from aircraft flying much 2 at 8000 meter
It’s annoying that with just one missile they do that, all the other missiles look like crap next to this aim120B

Same thing with FK90, within 10KM, nothing helps, just follows u all the way.
That’s because of Gaijins failure to implement missiles properly, in-game they explode in a sphere whilst in real life they explode in a forward cone - get this fixed and all of these issues would be resolved including the Phoenix/Fakour-90 problem.
