How gun barrels destruction it work?

What is your experience when you heavily (orange)damaged an enemy tanks gun barrel?
(Note: In this case i wanted to point out that when you take a shot, and this shot heavily damage enemy tanks gun barrel and he not have time to perform quick fix to restore his weapon. Sorry for misunderstanding.)

  • It damaged and when he take a shot , the gun barrel destroyed without able to the shell leave the gun.
  • It damaged and when he take a shot , the gun barrel destroyed, but the shell able to the leave the gun and take a shot before gun barrel destruction…
  • It damaged and when he take a shot the gun barrel not destroyed nothing happens, looks like the damaged gun barrel not have an effect to his tank’s fire power.
  • I have never observed this mechanism before.

What do you think how should it work in current implementation?

Based on my experience:

when my tank’s gun barrel heavy damage(turn to orange) and when i take a shot, the gun barrel destroyed without able to the shell leave the gun. So when it suffer damage i need inmediatelly fall back and repair it. in cannon breech case same:

During the fight when my shots heavily (orange)damage enemy armor gun barrel, i meet all 3 combination, which i mentioned in poll.
Based on my experience:

In 7/10 case:

  • When gun barrel damaged and when he take a shot , the gun barrel destroyed without able to the shell leave the gun.
    Like in heavily damaged cannon breech case.

In 2/10 case

I meet this only in premium tanks case.

It should have a chance to get more damaged/destroyed.

Fully damaged barrels could be operated. But only works if you don’t have Parts modification. Would be better than just running always without much to do but being destroyed.

This barrel destruction system is very strange, can’t lie, sometimes you can still shoot with a damaged barrel and sometimes it just broke apart.

I have hit an enemy barrel and I think his gun is incapacitated as it would once of been ,I have lined up the next shot thinking I have more time than I do and I get hit. Bit confusing.
Maybe people were annoyed with the instant barrel hit and you are out scenario.I know I have complained about it before.

Yes it’s possible to use the damaged or destroyed componenet but crews need ~20-30 min while they perform a quick fix. This quick fix not depend on spare part module. To do it just stop your vehicle and wait.

After the quick fix you able to shot with damaged or destroyed gun component, but if you take a shot during the quick fix or before quick fix it should be destroy the gun breech or gun barrel and prevent you to take a shot.
