started grinding out russian air, and i’m debating whe’ther i want to rush the SU34 (as im mainly a ground player, with not too much air experience)
i wonder what is the purpose of the SU34 if the new SU30SM’s get the same armament and all the other cool features (I don’t know much about how effective the airframes are, mainly just radar.)
should i go for the SU30’s, SU34 or the MI28NM as i am a ground enjoyer and wish to finally add CAS to my RU lineups.
i’d say use the sm2 but then the su 34 does have the 3000 kilo glide bomb, its good at taking out multi vehicle spaas
Pretty solid jet, amazing radar and missile count, FM is not as bad as people say but it’s still nowhere near the other top tier Flankers.
It can be a good option if you wanna get a base or two in Air RB/Sim while also being able to defend yourself.
At 13.7 it faces quite some OP jets, so it has to be played as backliner or support role overall, never get too close, sling the R-77’s from 15/20kms, the radar will allow you to have a good view of the furball.
Amazing CAS platform too ofc.
But as the guy above said, go for the Su-30s first, they can basically cover the same role with GPS bombs while still being 20x better for air to air, especially the SM2.
that 3tonner got nerfed, and it has mach limit of 1, what is limiting all top tier cas especially when facing IRIS-T.
Sm2, got better radar, missiles, etc, so I would personally say 30sm
Mi28 is a solid on top tier lineup. Liek any ldircm helo
Best part for Su34 is that it is fastest route to top tier CAS plane on ussr
