How does the msc compare to the 2a4 ? I see a lot of people glazing the msc like its the secondcoming of christ. Is it better than the 2a4 ? I also see a lot of people say it should go to 11.0
on the right hands, it is by a long shot.
Honestly its not a matter of should, but a matter of when. I’ve seen teammates doing wonders with it (i’m grinding France atm)

protection against 3BM42, most common russian round found at this BR, is kinda same, as in bad. it has larger ready rack with blow out pannels which is massive improvement.
mobility is similiar.
firepower is much better for MSC, having better round and faster reload if your crew on 2A4 isnt aced. its also an autoloader so its much less susceptible to crew loss.
MSC is definetively better, but with its current kit and config, i dont necesarily think its that much better to warrant higher BR.
MAYBE if it gets 5 sec autoloader, it could go to 11.0.

Thats what am thinking too. But considering this is france it will probably either stay like this or go to 11.0 without the reload buff bc france reasons

damn I really wanna grind france now. I had my eyes on the leclerc for a while since it looks really cool but now It feels like a must. Shame it will take me 6 years since I don’t plan on buying prems

Gets uptiered a lot very rare to see a downtier or even a 10.7 br can still do well regardless.

I feel like it has its shortcomings. It has alot worse armor compared to the leo and it has 1 degree less depression.Most importantly you lack the leo2 smoke and you get one less crew member so you get longer repairs and you probably get one shotted alot.
It has similar layout to the production Leclerc, only downside is the armor and the autoloader for comparison can bring some advantages.
Decreasing the reload time to 5,0-seconds is surely reason to increase the battle rating but the MSC Leclerc was added to fill the gap between battle rating 9.7 and battle rating 12.0, France don’t have any other battle rating 11.0 to form a line-up.

Thats what am thinking too. Moving it to 11.0 would just make no sense considering this was made to supplement their 1 tank 10.7 lineup. But gaijin really likes to screw france over so what do i know
They will probably give it a turret basket to balance it out. Since that’s like the main upside of using the msc over the leo. Rest of the stuff barely makes a difference (better shell etc)
For 10.7 your armor is irrelevant, even 25-30mm auto cannons easily destroy you from the front, feels like Abrams armor but much worse survivability on turret hits
The autoloader with 24+1 rounds is nice since you have flat 6s even after loosing a crew member. The round is on par with most 10.7s.
The autoloader also makes the survivability very bad since most hits on your turret ammo rack you easily

I mean its more mobile I think.It has an autoloader so no need for crew level. The main upside is probably the fact that its basically a leo without the turret basket.
