Is the squadron research I put into it only from the matches I play or the entire squadron?
It’s both.
If the squadron as a whole is doing 20,000 points every three days (200,000 activity score) AND you’re doing at least 160 of that (44% activity) you get full points.
Any points you do past 160 in every three day period just helps that squadron number get bigger.
If you do less than 160 or the whole squadron does less than 20,000 your reward is relative to the product of the two values. So if you do 80 and the squadron does 20,000, you get half rewards. If you do 160 and the squadron does 10,000, you also get half rewards.
