I think he means that range at low altitudes
Yeah, didn’t take that into account.
In my opinion The f15e is best at about 7km-10km alltitude and then like mach 1.50 launches.
That goes for every jet. Staying low doesn’t make sense even in an F-2A or hornet since there are many aesa radars around, your position will almost always be known.
Except if the map has some decent terrain cover.
The issue at high altitude for the F-15E or even the flankers, is that they turn quite slow up there and if they overextend they will have trouble notching before getting hit, specially if you are already at mach 1.5.
If I am climbing to 8-10km to fire in the first salvo, I always target the F-15s up high. They are usually fast and will take a long time to notch.
Yeah i get what u mean but by launching earlier than everyone else, then going into a half notch and waiting for ur missiles to go pitbull, you will be able to have time to notch.
Yes but at the same time, your missiles won’t be as dangerous, so it’s always a compromise
So basically the modern f14
It was much more useful when airspawns didn’t exist.
True, and to be fair i mostly flew it before everything had AESA and before the 77-1 was added
Same, but I used it mostly to spam gps bombs (+6 mavs) with the antimech order for printing SL with 20-26 ground kills and I could still spam 4 aim120s which often gave me a kill or 2.
For BVR gameplay I preferred the typhoon that just does it better altrough it had 2 less fox3s back then
I only had US top tier back when the F-15 was added. now that i have the typhoon and SU-30SM2 its easy to see how the eagle isn’t as good in the game
To further add to the injury, the SU-30SM2, or any flanker, spawn at 1400kph and are also less draggy post mach so the F-15E won’t even climb higher or faster, not to mention that R-77-1 are way better than the aim-120 variants
Yeah i feel the 120C is better at retaining energy in long range shots, but as soon as you get to the 20km mark the 77-1’s get really good since they pull so hard
b is better than c under 20km, pretty sure 77-1 pulls ahead of the c for a long while not just 20km
And the smart Flankers who’ll throw in R-27ER as well as the Fox-3 spam.
Yes but the 77-1 bleeds energy more during a turn
I’ve grinded almost every jet from stock in one nation, game doesn’t award you for your stock suffering, don’t try to save jet, don’t try to save missiles, it’s easier to fly straight and die, fortunately, premium account covers your loss and gives 700-1000RP in worst case. Do that until you unlock full AAMRAM set , then go high to 7000-9000km, preferably being in last position making 3/9 and then hunt.
