I now have gotten the Begleitpanzer, Leo 1a5, T-72 and use it along my 8.3 Gepard. Where do I now go from here as these tanks all seem rather understrenghed to play…or do I just play them wrong. If then I need advise how to do better in them.
Specifically the Begleitpanzer, despite a lot of people I know claiming its a insanely good tank for some reason, just seems to not be capable of dealing with any tank you might meet that has even a sliver of armor and all around these T80UD keep kicking me in the butt nearly all the time despite me shooting it with about anything I own. The only way of dealing with those I found was the 2,5 ton bomb the He 111 carries that I use but that doesn’t feel like a long term solution.
Additionally I now plan on grinding the Leo 2k. Is that a good idea or is something else better?
9.3 Germany is very strong, only let down by a lack of good SPAA (Bagel can make up for it a bit). It does suffer with constant uptiers though due to the Soviet 10.3 premium spam.
For the Bagel, either try barrel the UD from the front or you just have to flank.
But that has such a long reload and painfully weak shells. Its like the game is rigged against you after the tiger 2 br. Like am i supposed to not be hit or something?
The Kpz only real upside is it has a bit of speed but its not like that is important in tanks tbh as it doesnt help you survive anyways
what would the engine sound do? I play on playstation so I have them all muted while I talk to friends on discord when gaming
but yeah flanking, aka drive to the side of the map and then back into the points, doesnt seem to work for me. Like i dont like doing it a lot too because you drive in a way the enemy shoots your side armor while heading for cap points…and even if i try usually there aree like 3 other guys waiting for you to drive up a hill
I don’t think that having fixed 6s reload speed at 9.3 is such a long reload.
Or the Tiger II is such an incredibly strong vehicle after which playing vehicles that are just decent/good feels like crap ?
You also might have a preference for heavy tanks because of your playstyle or something.
KPz-70 is much more mobile than your average 9.3 and it also has much better reaction times due to awesome gun handling. With it, you should be getting to positions first and you’d also be firing first.
Well I play tanks like tanks…as in the fact that somewhere in the design it was considered that a gun might fire at them. It just feels like the tanks after 6.7 forgot how that entire system works.
But how much will that help me if its gun has a hard time killing even a normal t55 through the lower front plate. Much less the fact that apparently most people can spot you from kilometers away while moving and then instantly shoot you while I have to stop and shoot like 2 times to get the range first
hide behind rocks, and keep your engine turned off, then wait until you get the kpz, and remember you’re playing a game made by russians who over estimate their tanks and give them fantasy armor, then under tier them and give them rounds that can 1 shot everyone at lower BRs
Flanking normally is driving as fast as you can from the outside, but there is middle routes which put you on either side of the routes and positions people normally take.
Wilhcih then puts you on their side(the flank) where all your rounds will pen easily. Flanking isn’t about angling your tank.
Sprint to an outside or middle lane, obscure yourself from their view, and move out last minute to hit them when they approach you, or use 3rd person to look around corners when your tank is obscured.
Or hold your position and wait till they drive past and hit them all as they’re a good distance away.
