How do i get good stuff like this?
(The bad one is mine.)
There isn’t a recipe to get good in War Thunder. We don’t know how the player on the first data plays, what nation, vehicles, line-ups and others. We don’t know how you do the same; that’s on you. But if you want a recommendation, don’t try to speed up—the more you forget about the grind the faster it goes.
Fill up a line-up of around five total vehicles, and make sure to try to play with all of them if you prefer to spawn again and again in a match. If you prefer to use one vehicle per match, which is more demanding but rewarding if you want to have shiny colour in your StatShark which sincerely only applies to dumb discussions in the Forum, you’ll have to master that vehicle.
Which is what I usually do (in my case: forget about the mastery part, I’m not a good player), for the most part I play a few matches with one vehicle, and depending on the results or my experience in general I keep playing or I get into another and repeat the cycle. But being honest: Don’t bother with numbers, just play the game, StatShark data won’t make your War Thunder better, if not worse if you want to go after good numbers.
20% map knowledge 20% vehicle knowledge 60% practice. In ground having a KD of near 1 takes a while and makes you an above average player (average KD is 0.75, this game is mostly a minority sealcubbing the majority in the overall statistics) and even if you become a cracked player (or just abuse OP vehicles) its unlikely to be over 2KD overall. I think I’m only on a 1.4 KD myself and I’ve played consistently for years now.
No matter what it takes a long time, don’t feel bad for not being an amazing player, enjoying yourself is the more important bit.
Honestly best way to learn is by watching what decent players do and understanding why they do what they are doing, this can be players in your matches or YouTube videos.
Id recommend at the bare basics is to learn the weak spots of common vehicles at the BRs you’re playing and to always remember that there’s more than one path to cap zones, flanking is the most powerful move you can do in most match situations
Most important thing that get most player killed :
don’t forget about someone.
You shot him, or anything that made him saw you : don’t just leave at some point. Keep in mind were he is and what he could do, or where he could move.
i’ve seen thousand of people after a couple minutes just walking past as if nothing had happened on a street where, five minutes earlier, he had seen someone camping out.
Find a lineup you enjoy playing (preferably a ful one woth 5 or so vehicles) and get good with that.
I never went for stats or anything but as soon as I started to play only french mid tiers because I just enjoy them so much and my stats went up. Consistently playing stuff you like and enjoy playing will bpost your stats. If you just keep grinding and constantly switching vehickes and lineups as well as playing stock tanks it will show in your stats.
But in the end stats don’t really matter. What matters is you have fun since it is a game after all.
My stats just for show (not really that special)
Also I see you are lvl53 so not a total new player but still not really experienced and you also play a lot of top tier. Those are 2 things going against you. Top tier is a completely differnet beast to the other eras and I personally don’t like playing it at all because it’s just off the charts compressed and certain aspects like CAS get to strong as well as way more people ODLing and basically throwing matches not to mention all those people that bought the gooner copy paste tanks otr iust regular top tier premiums and then enter matches with 1 single vehicle.
TLDR top tier is just not the place to get good stats as a lvl53 IMHO.
FYI heres what i have:
M1A1 Click-Bait
RDF/LT
XM-803
RAH-66 Comanche
B-52H
6 (oh no). A-10A
F-18
Bf-109 (ignore it.)
Aaaand i think thats it. Is that a good lineup?
You don’t have to care about it, when you play the game a lot for years and slowly adapt to the new environment, then you will pretty much slowly get better stats. (do NOT play bombers in RELASTIC… it destory my stats)
That tank got me my one and only nuke (And Im an Air main). Plus Im not really good at ground anyways. Try to play lineups for battle ratings you enjoy :)
Air is a lot easier to be good at though
You kinda just have to play a lot to get the hang of it. That’s how I went from being pretty bad at the game to being mostly average. Also if you find yourself struggling to kill a certain tank, use the protection analysis thing. I remember when I was still pretty new and was having some trouble killing panthers and tigers with my shermans, I spent close to an hour in protection analysys just finding all the weakspots I could hit and finding which ones did the most reliable damage for almost every tank in my BR range. Watching some tutorial videos could also help too. Map knowledge is super helpful as well, although that’s also something that kinda just comes with time playing the game.
Easy turn your stats off and have fun.
How do i turn off stats?
Find an actually good player willing to teach you stuff
Play with them and practice engagements with you in customs (at least for air)
clipping software helps a lot too
Youre not ready for high tier for a long time mate. Trust me dont do it to yourself. working up the trees naturally is the best way to aquire experience and skill
No.
Start from the very bottom of US and work your way up (Buy premiums at lower BRs vs Higher BRs)
Always try and keep your Lineup on the same BR for example
Always play EVERY SINGLE GAME and EVERY SINGLE TANK with 100%. Don’t be the person who has a bunch of tanks and dies too easily make EVERY SINGLE TANK count.
Lastly, if you REALLY care about stats and not damaging your own main account just do what most players do. Create an alt and use that to get better at the game first then switch to your main when you know you got the game down. It’s really your call on what you want at the end of the day.
You are one of the very few that admit your situation lol unlike most players here they would rather blame the vehicle instead even when they perform horribly in some of the best mbts. To achieve good number in every metrics require one to be good at map pressure, you really have to push every match and be effective at it, which means you have to kill 3-4 every spawn and maintain high mission point every matches, which would give you a purple tag on that specific thing you do well at. If you see someone statshark page have Thanos skin color then it’s clear you find someone who are extremely good at the game, can try hit up their replays to see how they play. These days I only play for kills and statsharks looks extremely ugly as I only has kills and nothing else lol I have tried to play like those purple dudes I will admit that I simply cannot maintain the pressure these guys could, so I will just go back to my comfort zone.
So i would have to do…
M1A1 Click-Bait (12.0?)
RDF/LT (no wait, 11.7, ignore that!)
M1A2 or M1A2 SEP? (12.0)
