I need to go back to sim, I haven’t played there much recently. Mostly been hunting airplanes in GRB.
Nothing quite as satisfying as jumping in the Lynx and sprinting to an ambush point and ATAS’ing guys in SU-25’s and A-10’s who think they’re safe. Very sad when the Lynx got moved up.
Now I have to fly the OH58. But thinking about jumping over to Italy to do the same with the Gazelle and its mistrals
Yeah that was what attracted me to the Vixen, other than being an aviation guy and it being a neat niche aircraft. Being able to punish unaware CAS and ignorant PE-8 players trying to spam GRB was hilariously fun.
Just wish you could initial spawn in a CAP plane and I’d play a lot more jet
I’m still hoping this thing is at least 9.7 for grb, otherwise… it’s gonna be A-4E ALL OVER AGAIN. AAs won’t be able to kill it, and it will get free kills.
From testing videos it seems like the limited bomb capacity balances the stealth aspect - however while I acknowledge that they are playtesting stealth at the moment, the stealth aspect has been heavily buffed.
Some planes won’t lock the Nighthawk until they’re practically about to kiss.
I was referring to that it’s stealth factor seems artificially higher than it should be. Stealth doesn’t mean that you are invisible to radars completely, it just reduces the distance at which you can be detected.
Within 2ks, every stealth aircraft should be picked up by even the earliest radars.
Considering the testing I have tried and the testing I’ve seen from youtube videos. Unless it had its values changed it is far from over preforming.
Also where do you get your information about it’s preformance against certain radars?
Yes stealth reduces not eliminates but early radars were really not that great. So how would you know if the 117 is over preforming everything is a crap shoot.
This is more my opinion than an official statement of fact. One video I watched (I forgot who by but I can find it again if it matters to you) a MiG-21 failed to lock the F-117 in a head on until under 2k distance.
Considering that’s practically a stone’s throw distance (relatively speaking), imo it shouldn’t of had issues locking.
