okay its a little hard but not immpossible to win against a mig 15 in meteor MK-3
the mig is going to energy trap you but you arent going to fall for it instead you sit and wait for him to dive on you then you turn hard to dodge his guns due to them being hard to aim they miss
then as he starts climbing to do another run just as he starts you have a window to shoot him as he passes you thats how you kill him

Despite MiG’s having the performance advantage, they do not have the dogfighting advantage over you.
You have both roll and turn (both instant and sustained) advantage. The MiG has to rely on you having a predictable turn and then depending on how skilled the MiG is on his gunnery— pop you in that turn without having to slot in incredibly close behind you.
It’s big, glaring, sore weakness is that it has an awful roll-rate, especially at medium-high speeds (I think 500kmh+?). Because of this the MiG-15 is late on responding the flow of the dogfight, which is why you mainly see MiG’s try and energy trap people instead of going for high-aspect, low window shots.
It’s kind of akin to fighting an I-225 in something like a Zero. He has to be careful more in trying to kill you than you are defending from him.

This is probably the question RAAF pilots asked themselves when they faced migs in Korea (battle of Sunchon).
It’s going to depend on the Mig pilot.
If he is smart and experienced, he will energy trap you to death - not much you can do other than pitch back into him as he climbs away and get a lucky/good shot.
If he turns and slows down you should clown him.

What are the odds that the Mig dropping on me will be at 500 not 700-800km/h though, surviving is one thing but actually killing them is another story since they retreat to safety quite easily. I can do my best to climb but it doesn’t really matter, I usually sac some speed when getting dove on to escape, afterwards I go after american/german/swedish jets since I genuinely have such a bad experienced fighting Soviet br compressed (energy uncompressed) jets.

Mig-15 is higher BR than the meteor mk3 so you can’t really expect it to be on par.
But if the mig15 commits into a dogfight you can run circles around it (you even run circles against all the props you face). A smart mig15 player will keep extending away and BnZ you to try to make you run out of energy and be an easier target.
Your best hope is to try to keep your speed up and deflect his passes without turning much to make him overshoot and conserve your speed as much as possible, the meoter isn’t the best at that because it rolls poorly, but the mig15 also compresses a lot and rolls poorly too.
Stick to the plan, and he might make a mistake. Many of my kills with the meteor mk3 are after someone overshoots me.
You can’t. Mk8 reaper is still like my second most played plane and its stupid its the same rating as mig. The only way they lose is if they’re so stupid they do a quite prolonged turning fight or doing some dumb mistake with their trash roll and crashing.

If you don’t know the basic technical info of the car you’re driving, you shouldn’t be driving it
It is what it is on certain match ups. Me-262’s against MiG’s/Sabre’s/Sea Meteors/ Literally anything higher than it. MiG-9’s, F-84G’s.
Defend until there’s a window, or force one yourself. They fly away to RTB or any other? Go help the team, go for ground targets for ticket advantage, etc.
I know It sounds bad, but again. It is what it is.

MK8 is just a bad jet (overtiered) The mk3 at least turns very well and is an amazing dogfighter at 7.3
the MK8 aint overtiered things like MIG-15 are just undertiered the MK8 brutalizes the 7.0 jets with zero resistance
