most 8.0 jets do the same thing tbf. I have less issue with mig-15s than sabres for example, at least you can exploit the bad roll and highspeed compression of the mig-15

Drag racers aren’t a rock paper scizzors type of scenario though, the reason why I gave that example is because he didn’t really say anything to me. I know that I outturn him but the reason why jets are better compared to props (ThEy OuT tUrN jETs - this deserves this kind of mockery because your addition didn’t actually help anyone) is because they are much faster, with these low speed jets like meteor who don’t really excel in being a jet nor a prop there is a big issue and that being fighting jets that to a degree excel in being a proper jet, that’s why I asked how do I combat something that is much better in all aspects
I feel like killing mig-15s with the reaper is not that hard because it’s a MAJOR step up from mk3. That jet is a match made in heaven for me but I’m trying to expand my skillset from spamming a premium to a generally good meteor player. Going down from a meteor that can actually gain speed to something that handles like a fat prop is an experience for sure.
I’m only lvl 43 so to a large degree I’d say it’s just a skill issue considering the people who kill me have many more hours on the game if not thousands more and are essentially just statpadding their low tier trash because they are bored of rocket spamming or some other shit.

The meteor definitely excels at being a jet, it has some of the highest low-end power for almost any jet of its BR that’s swamped with centrifugal turbos.
I think the meteor mk3 is much stronger at 7.3 than the mk8 is at 8.0
The good meteors imho are the mk3, the sea meteor, and the mk4.
