There is existing precedent for overhauling premium bundles: the Swedish CV90 premium pack received comprehensive balancing upgrades after player feedback, so similar treatment should apply to the Soviet L-39ZA.
In terms of flight performance, the L-39ZA falls behind the Alpha Jet, yet both carry nearly identical payload capacity, meaning the L-39 perfectly fits within a Cold War battle rating bracket.
For now, set aside arguments about the BR of Japan’s Thai L-39 variant. The core question is simple: players who spent real money on this premium pack deserve proper upgrades to make it a standard, viable early Cold War Soviet CAS platform.
Ground attack aircraft heavily shape match win rates in Ground RB. The Soviet lineup lacks a competitive dedicated strike jet at this tier, so the L-39ZA needs a full buff package to reach the same combat capability as the Japanese Thai L-39ZA/ART.

The L39 is 6.7, not 8.7 [the Alpha Jet you’re incorrectly comparing it to].
The L39 is also correct, and its BR is correct for its capabilities.
The Japanese one is identical in air in both capabilities & BR, and a higher BR in ground.

You mean the 105?
That wasnt due to player feedback, it was discovered it had fictional stab so they changed it for different vehicle and only recently readed the original variant as TT variant without stab.
It wasnt player driven in a sense you think.
You got what you paid for. Vote with your wallet next time.

I’m bringing this up because both the Alpha Jet and L-39 are trainer aircraft. Even though the L-39 falls short in flight performance, it could still perform competently for early Cold War CAS as long as it’s fitted with CCIP.
The Japanese Thai L-39 gets Zuni rockets, and their anti-armor killing potential speaks for itself. I also expect this Japanese variant will be pushed up to 7.7 BR within two months. I believe the Soviet premium L-39 deserves reasonable buffs to match its combat effectiveness.
7.7 and 8.3 are very close in terms of BR. Considering its inferior flight performance, the Soviet L-39 should rightfully sit at a lower BR than the Alpha Jet.
The Soviet L39 lacks the equipment for CCIP, thus cannot receive it.
Buffs aren’t given in War Thunder, vehicles are modeled based on available information about said vehicles.
