It’s also worth mentioning: Warthunder doesn’t feature the ADF-11F Raven and that is exactly why I play it instead of Ace Combat
First, thats primarily a FPS, second, it doesn´t have the controls or vehicle count.
Just wanted to point out how stupid your “Just play another game, bro” comment is.
And I wasn’t the one who ever said that either. I know WT is a game wedged perfectly in a gap no other game fills, being a realistic simulator without fiction (World of WarPlanes/Ships/Tanks) and not requiring a 300 page document and service in the military (DCS) just to play.
You complained about tryhards and sweats, a group that plagues every game. I gave you a simple answer to play a BR that would actually feel significantly better, and your answer was to tell me to go play one of the most fictional games known to man.
Also, as for the Ace Combat idea:
Ace Combat uses fictional aircraft and weapon systems
Warthunder and Ace Combat’s matches are much different
Ace Combat doesn’t contain prop aircraft
Also, to note: I don’t like ARB in WT in its current state. I honestly think we need more modes or at least creativity. However, it is genuinely not anybody’s issue but your own if you cannot adapt to a changing environment
Once more, I am not against PvE, I am against turning WT into a primarily PvE game. It’s not hard to tell you didn’t take much from my Native American explanation, so I’ll put it plainly:
Nobody wants someone to come into their XYZ and push them out, then tell them what they can and can’t have

Dude, the fact that you BR = Skill level is already a missconception. Why would i waste my time with WW2 stuff, if i enjoy (and came to this game in the first place) for Modern stuff.
I can buy myself (for a very cheap price in comperissen to WT) all the way to max level in World of Warcraft. Because level only determents unlocks. If you want to skip the boring part, you can do that. Though, in typical modern gamedesign fashion, for a price.
And Gaijin already agrees with that. Guesing on the constant flood of Top-Tier Premium, Event and Squadron vehicles.
Also, tryhards and sweatlords come down to WW2 stuff aswell, if they ever leave, because they like that stuff over the modern stuff.
I could go on for awhile, but to keep it short.
If you want PvE, to screw around with all what the game has to offer without interrupt. Saying to them, “just play low tier” makes no sense, whatsoever.

Don´t be evil. I still remember bomber rewards getting nerfed, because the fighter pilots where complaining about them bombers getting more.
Good example of infighting, causeing the community to shot themselfs in teh foot.

When you join a PvP lobby its a given you will be targetted
There’s test flight, usermissions, custom battles.
Sometimes I take out my planes and just faff about in test flight practicing carrier landings and acrobatics. Sometimes I do it because I don’t have time for a full sim match but I wanna fly around, other times I do it to improve my handling of a plane I am not as familiar with. Other times because carrier landings are fun.

BRs mean nothing, because I can tell you that low tier is plagued with seal clubbers. As well as what OP said: not all of us want to play low tiers. The arbitrary grind just to play the tanks and planes we want is ridiculous, especially since it takes way too long to get that.
A PvE mode would fix that, allowing people to get to the BRs that they like and enjoy it.

As arbitrary as TTs are, it at least gives the player a sense of reward for playing, as annoying as it is. For example: I exploded in pure euphoria like 30 minutes ago when I got the R2Y2, something that could never happen if I already had it due to the TT system being nonexistent or completely different
You want to turn a game that’s been PvP since its conception 12 years ago into a PvE…

Not everyone finds appealing to face bots, at least not at all times and exclusively.
The competitive factor and thrill of knowing that you are outplaying (or being outplayed by) other flesh and bone humans is what keeps PvP games alive and dynamic for so long.
I think having a proper PvE mode (and not whatever aberration we currently have on Assault) would be great for variety and all; but only as an additional mode… getting rid of PvP or even relegating it to a secondary mode would kill this game, which was built on and as a PvP from its mere premise.

I agree that it feels good, we just wished it didn’t take so long to get to it. I’m just glad the grind is almost over, then I can sit back in Customs
