I can certainly tell you, Im a traveling nurse and so I play this game 9 months out of the year at hotels, usually they are pretty nice ones.
But Im at a hotel right now and for the last month the internet speed is avg 8mbps download and 6 mbps upload. Mates its like playing in the AOL years, but surprisingly enough you can “play” at those speeds. Been spending a lot of time on test fields, luckily now, they are pretty good.
LOL, you can play War Thunder at those speeds for sure, been doing it. But youre sure going to be frustrated! I am amazed that I can get into a battle at those speeds, it takes about 5 minutes for the game to load, then its on, if you want to practice flying a plane that is jiggling all over the place.
Ive been keeping it to props, because I dont even want to enter a high tier jet battle.
Cant wait to get home, where I have AT&T fiber.
2nd thing is sometimes, not all the time, I look at my “Green Partner”, or squad mate…just to see what my mate has been up to.
War Thunder is funny now, compared to, say 2 years ago, it used to be if you were flying even a Sabre, your team would consist of at least maybe Level 54s and you could expect, what?..Experience? Whew!, lets go ahead and make that money Gaijin and put some more Premiums in there.
This game has changed a lot…Im going to be quite honest, this game used to be a “pc snob” game, but I miss those days for real.

The average skill or experience level for the whole game (atleast in air) has dropped quite a bit in my opinion. At prop BRs you see players who just don’t now how to fly their plane that well, and jet BRs are full of people who can barely fly a plane.
Air RB is becoming a, “shooter game”, but it is what it is I guess it is not going to change. I cannot wait to get home with my good internet and pc, I should be piling up some kills now, but at these speeds, if you are on a planes “six”, two seconds later on screen they are at a whole different angle…LOL, Im just flying planes with a lot of ammo or Zeros, where I can at least quickly compensate for the FPS change.
At these speeds my ping is usually 190-200.
Most Hotels, you can usually get about 200 download and 20 upload. I asked the clerk on the phone if they had “high speed” internet, and he said, “Sure, we’ve never had any complaints” LOL

Most nurses I know (surprisingly more than one, although most quit) report they spent a few years basically volunteering abroad doing humanitarian work.

WT doesn’t seem like a logical game to try and fit on a controller. plus a lot of issues with update rollouts being quite a disaster are partly from the hoops to jump through for updates on console.
keeping this game playable on an original Xbox and ps4 must be pretty rough nowadays too
Yes, luckily if you are in a job considered a “traveling” nurse, you usually make around $110 an hour, whereas, in the midwest US, with one employer, say a doctor or hospital, youre around 40-50 and hour.
Its a nice little compensation.

My lord! That’s some crazy internet. I agree with your point on level 13s at top tier, it’s disgusting.
That is exactly what Im doing, Im mostly flying my Zeros, which I do like anyway, but it does get tiresome flying the same couple of planes day after day. The Zeros are handling these speeds fairly because, say for instance, I tried to fly Sabre a few times, but everything is moving so much quicker I cant stay on someone’s six because the ping is so high and the framerate so low.
But good thing about the Zero, once youre on someone, even at these speeds…its over for them.
The 5.3 Zero Otsu, has plenty of ammunition luckily. Here lately, by the way, if my plane has a cannon and mgs, Ive been using stealth ammo for the mgs and using the tracers from the cannon if needed.
Im not a bad shot, but I still cant strictly use stealth ammo, I wish I could, because stealth ammo is very destructive, Ive noticed. It has changed the firepower of a couple of my planes considerably.

BTW, yeah a level 13 in a high tier battle doesnt really make sense,…however, some of these kids grew up with a controller in their hands, but in this game even still, a level 13 is a detriment to a win. I dont no how many times Ive been in a 12.7 and someone is seriously asking how to lock the radar.
