I’m sorry that the hornet is not coming to the game soon, perhaps its cause it is still superior to almost all aircraft in the game at the moment. Or the fact that the more advanced an aircraft is, the harder it is to find actual information on it? Especially if its earlier models of said aircraft.
the opposite really, all components of the Hornet are already in game and it won’t even make top 10 best aircraft in game, simply gimmicky due to some proposed loadouts, it’ll be a good aircraft no doubt but nothing to marvel at. And likely hasn’t come because they have more important things to model (like Eurofighter/Rafale) and are likely saving it for a naval aircraft themed patch sometime in the future

Especially if its earlier models of said aircraft.” lol, there are so many modern aircraft in use RIGHT NOW in the game, yet they still added it. They got info on the F-16A and C, F-15A, C and E, Su-34 was introduced in 2014, modernized Su-27s etc etc etc etc. If the F-18A or C hasn’t been added, it is NOT because it’s modern, or information is hard to find or whatever. F-18s flight manuals are everywhere, lots of great simulators have the F-18, how did DCS do it? How did Falcon BMS do it with the F-16? Many versions of the F-16 matter of fact.
Why do you simply refuse to admit the F-18 should’ve been added already? That is the entire point of this thread.
Slight edit: I wanna make it very clear the entire point of this thread is to talk about how the F-18 should be in the game already and how the techonology being introduced is starting to make it outdated. UNLESS Gaijin works on some big BR decompression changes (which I HIGHLY doubt they will), F-18 would be a last pick if you wanna have a good time and grind well in a regular RB or SB match. But the fact is, F-18A/C against EFTs, F-15Es, Rafales…??? That’s hard to compete against.

It’s really simple, adding the F-15E instead of the hornet filled a few check boxes while keeping the US competitive without having to introduce a new airframe that will take time to model, thus allowing other nations to catch up and from the looks of it, surpass the US.
The Hype from the F-15 is still fresh and introducing better version is just a good idea because people still want them as they are currently one of the best jets in game.
in a few months, US mains will be pretty tired of having to face EFs and be pleased as punch at the F-18 being added.
Give it time, I can almost guarantee it will drop within the next 2 patches(along with a premium F-16 and or F-14)

Agreed. I really don’t get why the Hornet A variant (with Sparrows and SW) wasn’t added some patches ago, well before AMRAAM/Fox-3s were added. It would’ve possibly been a viable A/A platform, and it would’ve been a nice addition to the Naval Line.
Now, of course, it’s not particularly meta (surprise surprise) but it’s hopefully not dead?
I assume they’re holding out for a future update where they can add all the variants in one go, call it “Hornet Swarm” or something like that and go “hey look! You got Hornets and Super Hornet! Enjoy”

Only US get since can/Australia is not a UK subtree and there’s no need for an American jet there, Switzerland isn’t a German subtree officially and there is no need for it in the German tree especially now, Italy also doesn’t need it since they have gripen and eft, Sweden does have officially Finnish sub, but gripen does basically the same thing

That Gaijin won’t just shove a Canadian/Australian/Swiss/Finnish/Spanish Hornet in each respective tree because milking it for all the money they can get.
F/A-18A or A+ US premium 12.7/13.3 respectively, will pull in more than all the others combined probably

Eh, dunno about that. Hornets in the other trees, depending on whether they were premium or not, would result in more premium sales (if they were TT) and some might throw GE to rush it… either way I think “more than the others combined” is a stretch.
