Honestly, how can I play better in F-16A ADF at 13.3?

I know it is a skill issue, not Russia bias, as always.

But honestly, is there any better tactic to play F-16A ADF at 13.3?

Meanwhile, another planes at 13.3 is better

Mig-29SMT has R-73(IRCCM), R-77, HMS and 56 Large cms + 60 normal cms
Su-34 has R-73(IRCCM), R-77(8 of them), best radar and 98 Large cms
Su-27 has R-73(IRCCM), R-27ER(6 of them), HMS and 98 Large cms (Probably can win in F16A ADF)
Su-33 has R-73(IRCCM), R-27ER(8 of them), HMS and 48 Large cms (Probably can win in F16A ADF)
J-11 has R-73E(IRCCM)(one of best IR), R-27ER(6 of them) and 96 Large cms.
JF-17 has PL-5EII(IRCCM), SD-10A(better than aim120a) and 64 Large cms.

F-16A ADF has no IRCCM missile, no HMS, 15 Large cms, and poor radar. Only aim9L, aim120a which can be easily dodged with a few large cms,

aim120a works at high altitude, but it’s still super easy to dodge with a lot of large cms.

Yes, F-16A flight model just slightly better than mig29 and JF-17, but it raraly gets into 1 vs 1 close range dogfight.

Even if I can get into a dogfight, they can always pull a high AOA and use HMS to shoot R-73E or R-73.

Any idea?

Only the Italian community wanted AMRAAMs. Gaijin just wanted to abolish 12.7 F-16s all together

For me F-16 Block 30 would be a better contender with a possibility of JDAMs + better airframe

F-16A ADF should have aim120 originally, so it can fight against R-27ER, which is way better than Aim-7 in BVR.

Su-34 is 13.3 in air sim sadly.

If it is unplayable, why does it exist?
Surely it is not a solution for F-16A ADF player.

When ADF was added, only ARH in game was Phoenix. Of course it didnt have AMRAAMs

Yes, that’s why people used to complain about the lack of effective weapons against the R-27ER back in the day.

Is there any better tactic for flying the F-16A ADF at 13.3, especially in situations where the fight feels ‘fair’?

I’m looking for advice to help improve my skills.

I planned on spading the old sparrow variant, sadly didnt unlock it in time.

I will probably be skipping the new amraam variant, mostly due to low CM count.

At 13.3 it will be uptiered to 14.3 most of the time and 45x CMs is insuficient for that; at the same time, F-16 airframe and amraams prevent it from going down to 13.0.

Compared to other aircraft at the 13.3 BR, F-16A ADF is not capable in this br. It only has access to AIM-120A, AIM-9L, and a limited countermeasure loadout (15 large + 30 standard flares), without any IRCCM missiles and HMS.

While lowering it to 13.0 might make it too strong for that bracket, it is clearly underpowered at 13.3.

In conclusion, the F-16A ADF requires a buff to remain competitive against other 13.3 aircraft.

The tricky bit though, is the only buff I can think of is Aim-9Li/Aim-9M. Which would then make it a 13.7 aircraft

honestly IDK. theres J-8F with superior weapon pack, similar-ish systems, probably also more CMs
the only part where F-16 gonna be superior is… FM, which doesnt matter that much in case of random battles.

I think the J-8F needs to be taken with a pinch of salt on the grounds it only just got better IR missiles and was actually on the lower end of the fox 3 slingers before.

We’ll have to wait and see what happens next BR change/how it performs over the coming months.

13.0 though is certainly compressed and needs to be split into 2 BRs

“Superior weapon pack” and it’s 2 stock ARH + 4 non-IRCCM missile that just got it’s IRCCM suite on a heavily modified 1964 platform.

R27ER is not an equivalent to the amraam… it is worse…

It isn’t, any decent player will do well enough

Maybe bad pilots. Multipath was at 100m so r27er was very avoidable.

You mean WILL make it too strong for that bracket?

Again, maybe for lower skilled pilots, but any decent player will still perform fine.

Huh multipathing R-27 ER …you are aware of the fact all you had to do was shut radar lock off once missile got a couple km from its target multipath dosent happen with IOG… Where you seriously using them like sparrows this whole time just rofl… You musta thought they where terrible lol
