What? This isn’t a strategy. IOG is easily defeatable. All you have to do is make any sort of turn at all even by a few degrees to avoid IOG in this scenario.

I’m used to the dogfight ACM (vertical narrow scan) so I can somewhat manage without HDM but its still a considerable disadvantage compared to my 13.3 F-16D.
My efficiency with the 13.3 ADF/MLU is slightly better than with the 12.7 loadout/matchmaker.
I don’t enjoy it as much, though. I’m glad I still have the F-16AJ there.
What I like about 13.3 matchmaker is that you don’t play full uptiers very often, you face mostly 13.0-13.7 jets.

I dunno about sim, but in RB i consider ADF to still be solid enough. Biggest problem imo is modules, you ned obcenely big 50k RP to unlock AIM-120 for this platform, which mean sticking to only 2 Fox-3s for majority of your playtime. Low amount of CMs is a bit sad, but it isn’t a dealbreaker for me, because i am used to USSR jets (poor MiG-29 still has 60 dual pop CMs, which effectively means only 30 uses, same as F-14A) F-16 airframe is agile enough to either go fight at the deck with multipath and it is pretty fast to stay high and defeat missiles kinematically. And you still get plenty of 12.3-12.7 downtiers to bully the crap out of Hornets and MiG-29s.

Except 95% of lawnmowers dont do anything but fly straight expecting to be safe from multipathing( which they where to every other fox 1 until the AIM-7P)… So its very much a good strategy mate sorry you obviously never tried it lol

Im so tired of the ADF irl had amraams. I dont care. Sparrow gameplay is more fun than amraam gameplay and if i want to use amraams on an f16 ill play the C or now the pobit.

they really screwed up with the AIM-120 F-16 ADFs.
italy wanted a taste of AIM-120 F-16, they got it. china and USA didn’t need that, USA has the vastly superior F-16C of which the only downside is the heavier flightmodel and china has various better FOX3 slingers. the only sparrow F-16 that remained at 12.7 is the F-16J

Personally all that’s needed is de compression for 13.3 so it rarely fights against 13.7 aircraft and the f16 adf should get aim9m/aim9Li that way it simply fights against other arh aircraft that is less capable than 13.7 aircraft. de compression should also happen at 11.7 to 13.3 so fox 1 also rarely fight against arh aircraft
this plane is complete junk and not worth playing, 45 small cms with no hms and 6 missile (no ircm) is not good especially with non-stop 13.7 matches.
