That’s right I’m happy. Can’t speak for the other 7 though.

It’s very strange a UK destroyer from 1943 and (former) UK Frigate transferred to France in 1944 get HE-VT, but not the top-of-the-line battlecruiser in its 1944 configuration…
Apparently its a balancing decision, but US top tier BBs have HE-VT iirc
Yup, every top-of-the-line US BB has HE-VT as does the event 7.0 BB Mississippi…
Isn’t it tiring hearing that joke over and over? It’s clear that far more than just a handful of players are enjoying naval battles. People should recognize that each game mode supports and enhances the others. In the long run, this diversity is what makes the game better for everyone.
Well I guess its no more tiring than hearing the same PTW arguments about bushes or nerf X vehicle because it keeps killing me posts. I’d rather make light my response to this, than take it to heart. After all if Gaijin keeps getting bashed over the low player numbers in Naval, perhaps they will pull their finger out and take some proper action to resolve it, rather than just adding more vehicles. At least that’s my hope.
Gaijin has different standard on giving ammunition to other class/capital ship. They give whatever possible that gun can fire on other classes, but for capital ships what historically carried/or have plan to carry.
If they implement later standards to other classes, Porter and Somers class should not carry HE-VT as well as Tashkent.
AFAIK more of historical issue rather than balancing decision because Allied navies didn’t use VT at European theater.
That shouldnt matter and has no impact on any other class of ship. All British Light and heavy cruisers for example have HE-VT.
As I mentioned earlier, capital ships has different criteria of giving round compared to other classes. Lots of capital ships, including Arizona and Kronshtadt also didn’t receive VT round although they has AA guns which can use VT round.
It’s a very silly double standard, IMO. Capital ships need them just as much (if not more than) smaller ones.
But Ships like USS Tennessee does.
Ships like HMS Renown did actually use HE-VT, it has been reported and as far as I am aware. They’ve stuck with “loadouts are always a balancing decision” as the reason for it not being added. They have never mentioned anything about “European theatre” being the reason for it being denied
for US standard battleships, it really does carries. I do know that criteria is weird, but at least there will be not big change of it(Also, HMS Renown 1944 is definitely in Europe)
and what for developers saying ‘balance issue’, forget that. They did not know what they’re doing. European theatre is coming from moderator’s reply on another thread.
But again, that is just stupid.
If some top tier battleships have HE-VT, then all that can carry them should be able to. This cherry picking based upon arbituary “rules” is another example of Gaijin nerfing Britain for Being Britain.
Well, not only Britain. As I said, Kronshtadt also don’t have HE-VT while using same gun of Kirov
Mr Picky would like to note that neither of these 2 existed (complete or partial) at a time when HE-VT existed, so no, their AA guns could not use HE-VT🤠
And while USS Atlanta and Tahskent, Leningrad also sunk before HE-VT exist, isn’t it?
It’s not I’m picky, but Gaijin is picky.
The difference though. Ships like HMS Renown, Warspite and Rodney were actually built and as far as I am aware. Did actually fire HE-VT. Only ships that didnt are those that were sunk before they entered service like Repulse and Hood.
Kronshtadt is an edge case of what was its “hypothetical” loadout.
Arizona was sunk at pearl harbour before HE-VT entered service I think and so would be in the same boat as Hood
In what configuration, is quite important for capital ship.
USS Arkansas also didn’t receive VT-round though it also carries in real life because it is in configuration before HE-VT put into service(late 1944)
Renown, Warspite, Rodney stands same. Yes they may come out with HE-VT possible if they come in 1945 version. But they did not.
And, if they’re not capital ship yes they will be with HE-VT. But they’re capital ship, so Gaijin choose different criteria.
